What Juvelook is, and what it is not
Juvelook is a skin booster made of polymer PLA combined with hyaluronic acid. It is injected into the dermis. Its job is to trigger your own collagen, not to deliver instant volume.
That is the main difference from a filler. A filler places gel volume on the day. With Juvelook, nothing dramatic happens on the day: the change accumulates over weeks, which is why it reads as natural.

How Juvelook builds collagen
The PLA and hyaluronic acid prompt the skin to produce collagen of its own. The result is tissue you have grown, and it behaves differently over time to injected filler. Because the build is gradual, over-correction is far less likely than with a same-day filler. Fine wrinkles, shallow scars and skin firmness improve in the same course.
What a skin scan adds to the plan
Before a plan is made, 3D Meta-Vu imaging can map texture, pores, pigment, wrinkles and redness in one sitting. You can see the reasoning behind a recommendation rather than take it on trust.
What a Juvelook session is like
- Consultation. The doctor looks at your skin, asks about your medical history and agrees the amount with you: 2cc or 4cc.
- Numbing. A topical anaesthetic goes on first. After that, the sensation is moderate.
- Injection. Juvelook is placed in the dermis. It can also be done with Dermashine, which adds a tip quoted at consultation.
- Afterwards. Small bumps show where the product went in. They settle within 1–2 days.
Boosters and injectables can usually be done straight after the consultation, on the same visit. A few days' notice is usually enough, but weekends and Friday evenings fill first.
Downtime, sessions and timing your trip

Juvelook vs Rejuran, and where Sculptra fits

Rejuran works on skin that has thinned and lost resilience. It is built as three to four sessions, two to four weeks apart, and our Rejuran price guide sets out every option. Sculptra returns lost facial volume gradually and firms sagging areas, with swelling for 1–3 days.
Juvelook sits between the two. It works on elasticity, texture, fine lines and shallow depressions, and it adds natural volume as the collagen builds.
Who Juvelook suits, and who should ask first
Juvelook suits you if your concern is elasticity, texture, fine lines or shallow depressions. It also suits you if you would rather the change build slowly than show on the day.
The question that matters most in the consultation room is where a hollow comes from. Thinning skin, descending fat and acne scars pulled inward look alike in the mirror, and they respond to an injection very differently:

- Recent fillers, isotretinoin or medication that affects healing: mention them when you first message, not on the day.
- If you want volume you can see the same day, contour filler is the better conversation. It lasts 9–18 months by product, with possible bruising for 2–5 days.
- If lost volume and sagging across the face are the main concern, ask about Sculptra, which lasts up to around two years.
- If your flight or an event is fixed, say so. Bumps for 1–2 days are easy to plan around when we know the date.
Your medical history is part of every consultation. Consultations run in English and Bahasa Indonesia, so raise anything you are unsure about before the injection, not after.
An example: deeper skin tone with acne scars
Say you are 33, living in Surabaya, with medium-brown skin that tends to be thin, slightly hollow mid-cheeks and rolling acne scars on both sides. A doctor at home suggested a regular filler, and you worry your face will look heavy. If the scan shows scars held down from below, filling alone rarely lifts them, which is why the list prices Juvelook with subcision, done by hand when needed, to release the tethering tissue first.
On deeper skin tones, bruising and inflammation at the injection points can leave temporary dark marks. Inject early in the trip, mention your Fitzpatrick type when you message, and keep up sun protection once you are home. If the skin has active breakouts, the honest answer may be not this month.

The address decides less than what happens before the needle goes in. Five things are worth checking at any clinic offering Juvelook Korea treatment, ours included:
- A diagnosis before a price. Someone should establish whether the hollow is thin skin, descending tissue or a tethered scar, ideally with a skin scan.
- Who examines and who injects. Ask whether the doctor who assesses your face is the one holding the needle.
- Subcision when scars are tethered. Ask whether tethered scars are released first or simply filled.

- A written record. Product name, cc and areas injected, so a doctor at home knows what was done.

Keep the record for the long run too. A case report in Annals of Dermatology describes hard lumps from a foreign body reaction appearing long after poly-L-lactic acid injections, a close relative of Juvelook's material. If a hard lump grows or hurts after you are home, see a dermatologist with that record; skin that turns pale or bluish with severe pain, or any change in vision, is an emergency.
