Seoul skin clinic for foreigners: seven things to check before you book
A clinic that works well for visitors lets you check the prices, the doctor and the aftercare before you fly. Here a first visit takes 60 to 90 minutes, and the final quote comes before treatment with no obligation.

Searching for a Seoul skin clinic for foreigners usually brings up lists, forum threads and ranking pages, and very few of them tell you how to judge a clinic yourself. The questions that matter are the same wherever you book: can you read the price before you fly, who actually treats you, are the products genuine, will you understand the consultation, and what happens if you have a question after you are home. This guide goes through seven checks, and for each one it says plainly how THE Beautiful Clinic in Gangnam answers it, including the things it does not offer.
None of these checks needs inside knowledge. Each one is a question you can send in a message and get a written answer to, and the answers tell you more than any ranking can.
If you are looking for a Seoul skin clinic to book, here are the facts about this one in a single place. The seven checks below explain why each of them matters.

What a visitor needs that a local patient does not
A patient who lives in Seoul can come back next week if something is unclear. A visitor has a fixed number of days, a flight home and often a language gap, so a clinic that suits a foreigner has to make three things easy: understanding the plan, knowing the price before agreeing to it, and staying in touch afterwards. Everything below follows from those three.
- A price you can read before treatment. Ask whether prices are published, whether VAT is included and when the final quote is given.
- The person who treats you. Ask who decides the plan and who holds the device or the needle.
- Genuine products and devices. Ask how the clinic shows you that a tip or a vial is genuine.
- A consultation you can follow. Ask whether an interpreter is present and whether it costs extra.
- Reviews you can read. Look for reviews written by visitors, in your language, on a listing the clinic does not control.
- A first visit that fits your trip. Ask how long it takes and what to bring.
- Aftercare once you have flown home. Ask how you reach the clinic and how quickly it answers.
Check one: prices you can read before you fly
The most common complaint from visitors is a price that changed in the room. The fix is a clinic that publishes its list and tells you how the final figure is reached. At this clinic the price list is published per session or per cc, VAT of 10% is added on top of the listed price, and the final quote is given after the skin analysis and consultation and before any treatment, with no obligation to go ahead. There is no deposit to book, and changes or cancellations by message cost nothing.
| Ask | Why it matters | THE Beautiful Clinic |
|---|---|---|
| Is the price list published? | You can compare before the flight | Yes, per session or per cc, for example Vbeam 179,000 KRW per session |
| Is VAT included? | A 10% gap changes the total | No, 10% VAT is added to the listed price |
| When is the final quote given? | A quote after treatment is not a quote | After the analysis and consultation, before treatment, no obligation |
| Is there a consultation fee? | It adds up across clinics | Waived when you are treated the same day |
| Is there a deposit? | Your money is tied up before you arrive | No deposit; changes by message are free |
Two things are worth knowing so they do not surprise you. Combining treatments does not lower the listed prices: a multi-session package is priced as it appears on the list. And the foreign-patient VAT refund for cosmetic procedures ended at the start of 2026, so no refund applies at the airport. If you want to see how the list reads for one treatment, the Vbeam laser price guide and the Rejuran price guide show it line by line.
Check two: who plans and who treats
In a large clinic the consultation and the treatment are often done by different people, and visitors rarely know who held the device until afterwards. That is not always a problem, but you are entitled to ask about it; here the model is simple: there is one doctor, Dr. Jang Dong-hoon, and he decides the plan and performs the treatment himself, with a coordinator joining the consultation. His training and society memberships are on the doctor's page.
The useful question for any clinic is not "is the doctor experienced" but "will the person in the consultation be the person who treats me". A yes in writing is worth more than a photograph on a website. If you want a fuller list of what to ask, what a factory clinic is and how to check one sets out six questions you can send to any clinic in Seoul.

Check three: genuine products and devices
The World Health Organization warns that falsified and substandard medical products circulate in every region, and cosmetic injectables and device tips are not exempt. The simplest protection is to ask what you will be shown. At this clinic Thermage is performed only with genuine Solta tips, and the certificate for the Xerf device is kept at the clinic; ask to see a sealed vial or tip before it is opened if that matters to you. The full device list, with what each platform is used for, is on the medical devices page.
Check four and five: a consultation you can follow, and reviews you can read
An interpreter from the clinic's own staff stays with you during the visit at no charge. Interpreters are scheduled to your appointment rather than waiting on the floor, so message before you come and say whether you want English or Bahasa Indonesia. Messages can be written in either language, so no step of the booking needs Korean.
The consultation starts with a 3D Meta-Vu skin analysis, which takes about ten minutes, is included in the consultation and shows the layers of the skin on screen, so the plan is explained with your own images rather than a brochure.
For reviews, look at a listing the clinic cannot edit. On Google this clinic holds 4.9 from 444 reviews, and more than a hundred of them are written in languages other than Korean. Read the ones written by visitors: they tell you whether the interpreter was there, whether the price matched, and how the day ran, which is exactly what a Seoul skin clinic for foreigners should be judged on.
Check six: a first visit that fits your trip
A first visit here takes 60 to 90 minutes, and lifting or body treatments can take two to two and a half hours. Same-day booking is possible when a slot is free, but a first visit has to start 60 to 90 minutes before closing. The clinic is open Monday to Thursday from 10:30 to 19:30, Friday until 20:30 and Saturday until 16:30, with a lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00 Monday to Friday, and closed on Sundays and public holidays.
- Bring your original passport. The consultation starts with an identity check, and each companion who wants a consultation brings their own.
- Come without makeup if you can. The scan is taken on bare skin.
- Pay by card or cash. Visa and Mastercard are accepted; bring a backup card in case your bank blocks a foreign charge.
- Find the door. Exit 5 of Nonhyeon Station (Line 7 and Sinbundang Line), right at the GS25, then the second floor of the Jinryeong Building at 545-12 Gangnam-daero, about two minutes on foot.
- Plan the order. Treatments with downtime belong early in the trip; how many days each treatment needs before you fly helps you set it.
What the clinic does not offer is worth stating too: there is no airport pickup and no tour package. If those matter to you, booking a Korea skin clinic without an agent explains when an agent still helps.
Check seven: aftercare once you are home
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advises medical travellers to carry copies of their records and to plan follow-up care at home before they leave. For skin treatments that means the name of each treatment and device, the date, and for any injectable the product and amount. Ask for that record before you leave Seoul.
After you fly home, questions can be sent on WhatsApp with photos, and the clinic answers within 24 business hours. That is the last check, and in many ways the one that decides whether a Seoul skin clinic for foreigners was the right choice: the trip ends, the skin keeps changing, and you need someone to ask.
How booking works at this Seoul skin clinic
Every step of booking this Seoul skin clinic happens in writing, so nothing depends on a phone call in Korean. This is the order it runs in.
- Message on WhatsApp. Write in English or Bahasa Indonesia with your Seoul dates, the treatment you are curious about and, if you like, a photo. A photo gives a rough opinion only; the exact plan and quote are given in person. The clinic replies within 24 business hours, and a message sent on a closed day is answered on the next business day.
- Fill in the booking form. It asks for your name as it appears in your passport, date of birth, nationality, the language you want interpreted, your preferred date and time, past treatments at any clinic, allergies and your departure date. Each companion fills in their own, and the treatment can be left open until after the consultation.
- No deposit. Nothing is paid to hold the slot, and changing or cancelling by message is free. If you are running late on the day, send a message.
- On the day. A passport check, the 3D Meta-Vu scan, then the consultation with a coordinator and Dr. Jang. The quote comes before any treatment, with no obligation, and the consultation fee is waived if you are treated the same day.
- After the visit. The same WhatsApp thread stays open for aftercare questions with photos.
When your dates are set, open the booking selector with the 3D skin analysis ticked, or send your list from the booking page. If the price question comes first, the Juvelook price guide is another example of how the list reads.
The short version
- Ask each clinic the same seven questions in writing and compare the answers, not the rankings.
- Here prices are published, 10% VAT is added on top, and the final quote comes before treatment with no obligation.
- One doctor, Dr. Jang Dong-hoon, plans and performs the treatment, and a free interpreter from the clinic's own staff is scheduled to your appointment.
- Booking is on WhatsApp with no deposit and free changes; there is no airport pickup or tour package, and the VAT refund ended in 2026.
- The clinic is two minutes from Nonhyeon Station Exit 5, and after you fly home WhatsApp questions with photos are answered within 24 business hours.
