Haeundae beach week after 40? Where busan haeundae onda fits in a Seoul plan

ONDA lists no downtime, but a Haeundae beach week changes where the Seoul session belongs. The clinic's aftercare note asks for 3 days without sauna, hot yoga or long sun after each energy session.

If you typed busan haeundae onda, you most likely want ONDA microwave lifting fitted into a Busan holiday, and the plain answer is that THE Beautiful Clinic treats in Seoul, a 2-minute walk from Exit 5 of Nonhyeon Station, so the session has to sit at the right end of your Korea trip. The worry visitors over 40 raise most is whether a Seoul session will clash with Haeundae sun, a Busan sauna evening or the flight home.

If your Seoul and Busan dates are already fixed, send them on WhatsApp with one line on the area you have in mind: jawline, under the chin, or a body area such as the abdomen. The team replies in English within 24 business hours, so you can see which open clinic days fall inside your Seoul window before you book the train.

Dr. Jang Dong-hoon consults, plans and treats, with no counsellor package sales between the scan and the session.

Is there ONDA in Haeundae, or does it have to be Seoul?

At this clinic it has to be Seoul. Our address is 2F Jinryeong Building, 545-12 Gangnam-daero, Seocho-gu, and this page can't speak for clinics in Haeundae; it explains how to place an ONDA session in Seoul when the beach part of your trip is in Busan.

Most people behind a busan haeundae onda search want the treatment and the coastline in one holiday. The real question underneath is order: which city comes first, and how many Seoul days the plan needs.

If you are arranging this for a parent, add one check. Consultations run in English and Bahasa Indonesia, so make sure whoever speaks for the patient in the room is comfortable in one of the two.

What ONDA does at 3 mm and at 7 mm

ONDA delivers microwave energy, which its maker calls Coolwaves, and fat absorbs it more readily than skin.

The clinic runs ONDA with two handpieces:

  • 3 mm head: works in the epidermis and dermis, for tightening and skin density.
  • 7 mm head: reaches fat, used for a double chin, the deep cheek, the abdomen or the upper arm.
  • Contact cooling: a sensor holds the surface temperature down, which is why most patients need no anaesthetic cream at all.

As a general rule, thin, creased skin over little fat points toward the shallower head, while a fuller area under the jaw points toward the deeper one. The face result is listed as lasting around 6 months, and collagen remodelling keeps going after the session, so the face you see on the train back to Busan or the plane home is still changing. Face and body sessions are priced by energy in kJ, and the ONDA price guide for Korea lists each line so you can budget before you book the train.

Some people want a facial in the same week for beach photos. Our piece on what a glass skin facial washes off in days and what builds over weeks explains why the two work on different timelines.

Seoul first or Busan first?

For most busan haeundae onda plans built around a face session, Busan first and Seoul near the end is the gentler order. The sun and sauna limits then fall on city and travel days instead of beach days. The other orders work too; each one moves the cost somewhere else.

The clinic's note (three days without sauna, hot yoga or long sun after each energy session) points the same way as the Onda International Advisory Board, whose 2024 recommendations in Bioengineering advise avoiding direct sun for two days and hot water while the skin is still red. Busan's jjimjilbang and bathhouse evenings count as sauna here.

Clinic hours shape the order as much as the beach does. The clinic opens Monday to Thursday 10:30 to 19:30, Friday 10:30 to 20:30 and Saturday 10:30 to 16:30, with a weekday lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00, and it is closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Tell us on WhatsApp which order you are leaning toward and the day you arrive back in Seoul. The team replies in English within 24 business hours, and you'll know which clinic days fit before you lock in the Busan hotel.

Three timing mistakes on a Seoul and Busan trip

In short, these come up because a holiday calendar and a clinic calendar run on different rules.

  1. Leaving Seoul for a Sunday or a public holiday. The clinic is closed on both. If your train from Busan arrives on a Sunday, the session moves to Monday or the trip needs another Seoul day.
  2. Booking a long Haeundae beach afternoon the day after the session. ONDA lists no downtime, yet the three-day aftercare note still applies to sun and heat.
  3. Expecting a full body course from one visit. The Body Sculpting Centre, which uses the same ONDA platform on the abdomen and flanks, plans body work as courses of 4 to 8 sessions and then reviews. The advisory board protocol describes one session every 4 weeks and no retreatment of the same area within 15 days, so one trip usually covers one session per area.

Adding filler or a booster to the same trip

If you also plan filler on this trip, the bruising days matter more than the ONDA days; our guide to Korean fillers on a Seoul trip, with days, flights and follow-up walks through that part. A skin booster adds its own small window, covered in how 1 to 2 days of Rejuran HB Plus bumps fit a Seoul trip.

Who should hold off, and what can go wrong?

Pregnancy and breastfeeding, a pacemaker or other heart implant, and a current or recent cancer are among the main contraindications listed by the Onda advisory board. Blood thinners, recent steroids, active skin disease, a tendency to keloids, and filler or wrinkle injections in the target area call for a more careful plan.

That same review describes most effects as temporary, usually settling within a few days: redness, swelling, itching, numbness, bruising and sometimes blisters. Seromas and hematomas are also listed, and improper use can cause skin or fat necrosis and contour irregularities. A 2024 clinical evidence review in the Journal of Cutaneous and Aesthetic Surgery covers the same microwave device for localized fat and skin laxity.

Before the session, tell the doctor about any filler or threads placed in the last six months, isotretinoin, or medication that affects healing; energy is planned around those. If filler sits in the area you want treated, what the filler brand decides on a Seoul trip is a useful read first. Active breakouts change the plan too, and what hormonal acne treatment in Seoul can and can't fix covers that side.

How much tightening or fat reduction you see, and how your skin reacts, differs from person to person. Whether ONDA suits you is decided at the in-person consultation, after the scan.

How many Seoul days does an ONDA plan need?

One clinic day can hold the consultation, the 3D scan and, often, the session itself. The clinic's FAQ says lasers, boosters and injectables can usually be done straight after the consultation; ONDA lists no downtime, and whether yours runs the same day is settled in the room.

A body region takes about 30 to 60 minutes. A few days' notice is usually enough to book, though weekends and Friday evenings fill first, so a fixed itinerary is worth messaging about as soon as the dates are set. If ONDA is the one, open the booking selector with ONDA ticked. If you want to look at more than one treatment, the treatment checklist on our booking page lets you tick what you're curious about and send the list on WhatsApp.

A sensible margin for a traveler over 40 is one clinic day plus one quiet Seoul day after it, especially when the session falls just before the flight home.

Follow-up once you're back home

The U.S. CDC's medical tourism guidance asks travelers to carry copies of their treatment records and to plan follow-up care at home before they leave. For ONDA, a useful record names the device, the handpiece (3 mm or 7 mm), the areas treated, the energy in kJ for each area and the date.

The advisory board suggests a follow-up check at one month. Once you're home, that can be a local dermatologist with your record in hand. A firm lump under the skin, blistering, rising pain or a fever after treatment are reasons to see a doctor at home promptly, and you can also message the clinic on WhatsApp with a photo.

Before you lock the train tickets between Seoul and Busan, send two things on WhatsApp: the dates you'll be in Seoul and the area you want treated, face or body. The team replies in English within 24 business hours, and you can fit the Haeundae days around that reply.

The short version

  1. THE Beautiful Clinic treats ONDA in Seoul near Nonhyeon Station, so a Busan holiday needs a clear order.
  2. The aftercare note asks for three days without sauna, hot yoga or long sun after each energy session.
  3. The clinic is closed on Sundays and public holidays; Friday runs until 20:30.
  4. One trip usually covers one session per area; body work is planned as a course.
  5. Carry a record of device, handpiece, areas and kJ home for your local doctor.

Questions patients ask

Can I go to Haeundae beach the day after ONDA?

The clinic's aftercare note asks for three days without sauna, hot yoga or long sun exposure after each energy session, and the Onda advisory board advises avoiding direct sun for two days. A short walk in the shade is different from a long beach afternoon. Plan the beach days before the session or from the fourth day after it.

Does ONDA hurt?

Sensation is listed as low. A contact cooling sensor keeps the skin surface cool, and most patients need no anaesthesia.

Can the same ONDA device treat my jawline and my abdomen?

Yes. The clinic uses the same platform along the jawline and in the Body Sculpting Centre for the abdomen and flanks. Whether both areas fit one visit is planned at the consultation, and body work is usually planned as a course.

How long does an ONDA face result last?

The clinic lists around 6 months for the face. Collagen remodelling continues after the session, so the result keeps developing for weeks after you leave Seoul.

What should I tell the clinic before an ONDA session?

Mention any filler or threads placed in the last six months, isotretinoin, and any medication that affects healing. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, a pacemaker or a recent cancer diagnosis should be raised before you book. Come with clean skin and no makeup if possible.

Do I need to speak Korean at the Seoul clinic?

No. Consultations run in English and Bahasa Indonesia. Send a message on WhatsApp before you travel so the visit can be scheduled around your dates.

Results and recovery vary between individuals, and every treatment can have side effects. Prices are from the clinic's price list and are confirmed at consultation. This article is general information, not a diagnosis.
