InMode Korea, Explained: How FX and Forma Work on a Heavy Lower Face
InMode pairs radiofrequency with a high-voltage pulse, so it works on fat and on the skin above it in one session. The list of 20 August 2026 prices the face by time, from 99,000 KRW for 10 minutes, before 10% VAT.

People who search InMode Korea usually have a specific face in mind: full lower cheeks, a softening jawline or a double chin that does not shift with diet. They want to know what the machine does, what it costs in Seoul and whether it suits a face like theirs.
InMode is one of the lifting platforms at our clinic. It is chosen when the lower face needs two things at once: less fat underneath and firmer skin on top.
This page is built from our own price list and treatment notes. By the end you will know how the two handpieces differ, what a session costs and when a different device on our list is the better fit. Our position is simple: InMode is chosen by the layer that needs work, not by the name on the machine.
What InMode is, in plain words
Most lifting devices heat the skin to tighten it. InMode does that with radiofrequency, and adds a high-voltage pulse that acts on the membrane of fat cells.
The result is two jobs in one session. Fat cells in the treated area are reduced, while collagen and elastin production is switched on in the dermis above them. That combination is useful when a heavy lower face needs both.
Inmode Korea treatments also carry a safeguard against surface heat. An infrared sensor checks skin temperature 1,000 times a second and holds the epidermis below 43 °C while the energy works deeper.
How InMode is done at our clinic
Two handpieces do different work, and most plans use both.
- Mini FX draws the tissue in to reach the SMAS layer, for contour. This is the handpiece for the jowl and the area under the chin.
- FORMA works on the dermis, for texture and fine lines across the face.
- The face is priced by time on either handpiece. Ten minutes is 99,000 KRW and 15 minutes is 149,000 KRW.
- A full-face programme that combines the handpieces is also available and is quoted at consultation.
| Treatment | Time | Price (KRW, before 10% VAT) |
|---|---|---|
| Face InMode, FX or Forma | 10 minutes | 99,000 |
| Face InMode, FX or Forma | 15 minutes | 149,000 |
| Body InMode | 15 minutes | 199,000 |
| Body InMode | 30 minutes | 349,000 |
Prices are from the list of 20 August 2026 and exclude 10% VAT. The final figure is confirmed at consultation, after the 3D Meta-Vu scan and before anything is started.
When you compare InMode Korea prices between clinics, ask how many minutes a session holds and which handpiece is used. A price per visit means little until you know the time inside it.

Who InMode suits, and who it does not
InMode is at its best on a face with some fullness to lose and skin that has started to soften. These are the people we most often suggest it for.
- Heavy lower cheeks or a double chin, with skin that still has some spring.
- A jawline that has lost its edge as fat has settled along it.
- People who want no downtime, since the device is listed with none.
- People who want texture and fine lines addressed in the same visit, with FORMA.
It is the wrong choice when the face is already thin, when the main concern is deep sagging rather than fullness, or when volume has been lost and needs replacing. Tell us your full medical history in consultation, including any recent filler or medication.
If you have a photo from a few years ago, bring it. Comparing it with your face today helps the doctor see whether fat or laxity has changed more, and that decides the handpiece.
Before, during and after an InMode session
- Before. You have a consultation and the 3D Meta-Vu scan. The doctor marks the areas and decides the handpiece and the time.
- During. The sensation is warm and moderate. You feel warmth, and the sensor keeps the surface below 43 °C.
- After. Downtime is listed as none, so most people go straight back to their day.
- Over the following months. Collagen builds gradually. The effect typically lasts around 6 months, and the doctor plans the next session from how your face responds.
Radiofrequency results build over weeks rather than appearing on the day. The AAD notes that collagen takes time to form, and a 2016 review in Clinics in Plastic Surgery states that these devices are not meant to replace surgery. That matches how we plan it: a gradual change, kept up over time.
If you plan a second InMode Korea session on a later trip, send a new photo before you book. The doctor compares it with your first visit and sets the time on each handpiece from there.

InMode or another lifting device on our list
The nearest alternatives here are ONDA and Shurink Universe. Each one answers a slightly different face.
| Device | Works on | Lasts | Starting price (KRW, before 10% VAT) |
|---|---|---|---|
| InMode | Dermis and fat, RF with a pulse | Around 6 months | 99,000 for 10 minutes |
| ONDA | 3 mm dermis, 7 mm fat, microwave | Around 6 months | 69,000 for 10 kJ |
| Shurink Universe | 1.5, 3.0 and 4.5 mm, HIFU | 3–6 months | 55,000 for 100 shots |
Prices are from the list of 20 August 2026 and exclude 10% VAT. The final figure is confirmed at consultation, after the 3D Meta-Vu scan and before anything is started.
In short, ONDA is chosen when fat is the main target and comfort matters, since its sensation is listed as low. Shurink Universe is chosen when the SMAS needs lifting more than fat needs reducing. InMode sits between them, for a face that needs fat reduction and firmer skin together. Read how ONDA lifting works for the microwave side of that choice.
When you are ready, tick InMode in the booking selector and send the list on WhatsApp. For every option, see our lifting treatments.
