I wrote this because most people judge Rejuran by its first two days of bumps, while the problems that deserve real thought are rarer and depend on your medical history.
Most Rejuran side effects are injection-site reactions: small raised bumps, redness, swelling, tenderness and sometimes a bruise, which usually settle within days. Allergy, infection and lasting lumps are uncommon, and screening before the needle is how you lower those odds.

What Rejuran puts under your skin
Rejuran is a polynucleotide (PN) injection. PN is a purified DNA fraction sourced from salmon, placed in the upper dermis as many tiny deposits. It doesn't fill a fold the way a hyaluronic acid filler does. Boosters like this ask the skin to make its own collagen over weeks rather than borrowing volume from a gel.
That delivery explains most of the Rejuran Korea side effects you'll read about. Every deposit raises a small bump, a little like a grid of mosquito bites. More passes and more product mean more bumps, and thin skin shows them longer.
A systematic review of polynucleotide studies in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology found that the reported side effects were mostly mild, short-lived reactions at the injection site. A separate review comparing PN with PDRN describes a similar profile. That's reassuring, but it's a summary of trials, not a promise about your skin.

Which Rejuran Korea side effects are normal, and how long do they last?
Here is how I'd sort the reactions, from expected to rare. The timings are typical courses from general practice, and your own skin can run faster or slower.

Say you have thin, fair skin on your cheeks, you bruise from a light knock against a door, and you fly home two days after treatment. I'd tell you the bumps may well be down by the airport, but one or two bruises could still show. I'd suggest treatment on your first full day in Seoul rather than your last, and packing a concealer you already trust.
What about Rejuran side effects around the eyes?
The clinic's list includes Rejuran i, the version made for the eye area. Under-eye skin is among the thinnest on the face, so the same bumps and bruises show more there, and puffiness can look worse in the morning for a few days.
Two things matter more here than on the cheeks. First, Rejuran doesn't fill a hollow tear trough; if the shadow comes from lost volume, a booster alone won't change it much. Second, any change in vision, or a patch of skin that turns pale or dusky after an injection near the eye, needs urgent medical attention, as with any injectable. That's rare, but you should know the sign.
Who should wait or skip Rejuran for now
The Rejuran Korea side effects that matter most usually come from timing and history rather than from the product. In general medicine, these are reasons to wait or to talk it through first:
- An active infection, cold sore or inflamed acne in the area to be treated
- A laser treatment or peel on the same area that hasn't settled
- Isotretinoin taken now or recently, or other medicine that affects healing
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding, since there's little study data
- Blood-thinning medicine, which makes bruising more likely (don't stop it without your own doctor's advice)
- Filler or threads placed recently in the same area
Reactions differ from person to person, and suitability is judged at the exam in the clinic, not from a forum thread.
If a reaction appears after you've flown home, such as spreading redness, warmth, pus, fever or a lump that grows, see a local doctor promptly and take the treatment details with you.
If anything on that list applies to you, send it on WhatsApp before booking: the medicine's name, or the date of your last laser, filler or threads. Having those dates in hand lets you plan your treatment day around them instead of finding out in the chair.
What do Rejuran reviews get right, and what do they miss?
Review threads about Rejuran Korea side effects repeat a few claims. Some hold up medically, some don't.
“It hurts more than other boosters.” Partly true. Many small needle passes sting, and numbing cream takes the edge off but rarely all of it. The clinic lists an HB low-pain type for people who mind this most.
“The bumps last a week.” Usually not. The bumps tend to flatten within a day or two; what lingers is the occasional bruise.
“One session and my skin was glowing.” Day-after photos mostly show swelling and dewiness from the injections themselves. Any change in texture builds over weeks, and boosters work cumulatively, which is why they're usually booked as a course.
“Rejuran broke me out.” Small pimples at injection points do get reported. They're usually short-lived; if they multiply or become painful, have them looked at.
Which Rejuran methods change how it feels?
The same treatment is not repeated on everybody, and the clinic lists four ways to have Rejuran:
- Rejuran by hand, the standard version injected point by point
- Rejuran i, made for the thin skin around the eyes
- Rejuran HB, the low-pain type

By hand, the injector controls depth and spacing at each point. A device-delivered session spreads product in an even pattern, so the marks tend to look like fine, regular dots. As far as I'd expect, the HB type mainly changes comfort.
What decides the cost of Rejuran in Seoul?

Planning your Seoul days around the bumps
Boosters can usually be done straight after the consultation, so one visit can cover the scan and the treatment. Come with clean skin and no makeup if you can.
The clinic is open Monday to Thursday 10:30 to 19:30, Friday until 20:30 and Saturday until 16:30, and closed on Sundays and public holidays. A Saturday arrival leaves only a short window, so check that day against your flight.

Questions patients ask
Can I fly the day after a Rejuran injection?
For most people, flying itself isn't a known problem after a PN booster. The practical issue is how you look: bumps may still show, and a bruise can last longer. If you can, treat early in your stay so the first day or two of bumps passes in Seoul.
Can I wear makeup after Rejuran?
Many doctors suggest waiting until the next day so the tiny injection points can close. Follow the aftercare you're given on the day, and keep brushes and sponges clean when you start again.
Is Rejuran an option if I'm allergic to fish?
Rejuran's PN is sourced from salmon, so a fish or salmon allergy is something to raise before booking. It may mean a different booster suits you better. Mention any past reaction to injectables or local anesthetics as well.
How long until I see results from Rejuran?
The quick glow on day one is mostly swelling. Changes in texture build over weeks, and boosters work cumulatively, so they are usually planned as a course rather than judged after one session.
Do Rejuran bumps ever turn into lasting lumps?
It's uncommon. Most bumps flatten within a day or two. Firm small lumps that remain usually soften over weeks, but a lump that grows, reddens or hurts should be checked by a doctor.
Can Rejuran be done on the same day as a laser?
Sometimes, depending on which laser and which area. It's part of planning the order of treatments, so tell the clinic what you've had recently and what else you're considering on this trip.
