How long does Rejuran Healer last if you can only get to Seoul once or twice a year?

Read this before you plan a trip around it.

You'll come away knowing what decides the cost, which review claims about Rejuran hold up, which method fits your skin, and how many days the recovery takes out of your trip. That's enough to judge whether one visit a year makes sense for your face and your budget.

Hello, I'm Dr. Jang Dong-hoon, Founder & Medical Director of THE Beautiful Clinic in Seoul.

I consult, plan and treat, so the person who reads your skin is the person who treats it. Every consultation here begins with a 3D scan of your skin, not with a price list, and boosters like Rejuran can usually be done straight after the consultation, which matters when your days in Seoul are counted.

I wrote this because the question usually gets one answer online when it needs two: how long the bumps last, and how long the result lasts.

The bumps usually flatten within a day or two. The skin change builds over the weeks after treatment and, for many people, holds for several months, often around six, before a maintenance session is worth considering.

If you're not sure which of those two clocks matters more for your dates, send one daylight photo of your face on WhatsApp with your arrival and departure days, and ask the question that decides your plan: will the bumps be gone before my flight?

How long does Rejuran Healer last once the bumps are gone?

Rejuran Healer, listed on our menu simply as Rejuran, is a polynucleotide (PN) injection made from purified salmon DNA fragments. It doesn't sit under the skin holding volume the way a filler gel does. A recent review in Pharmaceutics describes PN as working through the skin's own repair and regeneration pathways, which is why its effect arrives slowly and fades slowly.

Risks and side effects to know

That changes what lasting means. What you see in the first few days is mostly the injection itself: small raised points, a little swelling, and sometimes a fresh look from the fluid. That part fades within days. The change people actually come for, finer texture, more spring and fewer fine lines, develops over the following weeks as the skin responds.

Published treatment protocols often use a short series of sessions a few weeks apart, and most clinical studies follow people for a matter of months; few go much longer. A systematic review in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology gathers these studies in one place, and it is a good starting point if you want to read the evidence yourself. Any duration you see quoted beyond those study windows comes from clinical experience, so treat a promise of a full year from one session with caution.

Your Rejuran recovery, day by day

In short, this is the general pattern I'd describe to anyone planning travel around a PN injection. Skin heals at its own pace, and the thin skin under the eyes usually takes a little longer than the cheeks.

Your Rejuran recovery, day by day
WhenWhat you'll usually noticeWhat it means for your trip
Treatment daySmall raised bumps at each injection point, mild rednessPlan a quiet evening, no sauna or drinks
Day 1 to 2Bumps flatten for most people; slight tendernessUsually fine for sightseeing and light makeup
Day 3 to 7Any bruise fades from purple to yellowConcealer covers most; leave a buffer before events
Weeks 2 to 6Texture and spring change graduallyThis is the result, and it arrives after you fly home
Around month 6The effect fades as normal ageing carries onA good time to think about a maintenance session

For the first day or two, many doctors suggest skipping saunas, hot yoga, heavy workouts and alcohol, and keeping sunscreen on whenever you're outside. Cabin air on a long flight is dry, so a plain moisturiser helps; the flight itself is not usually a problem for small injection bumps. If you'd like to see what happens in the chair before any of this, the post on Rejuran Healer procedure steps and recovery days walks through the visit itself.

How many Seoul days should you plan around it?

Say you land at Incheon on a Thursday evening and fly home on Monday. On Friday the clinic opens at 10:30 and stays open until 20:30, so you can have the consultation, the scan and, in most cases, the treatment in the same visit, then go back to your hotel with a few hours of bumps. By Saturday they're usually flattening. The clinic is open until 16:30 on Saturday if you want to come in with a question in person, and it's closed on Sunday. By Monday your skin usually looks much as it did when you landed, with the real change still to come.

Now shift that plan: treatment on Monday morning and a flight on Monday night. It's possible, but you'd travel with fresh bumps and be home before any bruise showed itself. If you bruise easily, have an event within a week, or you're adding Rejuran around the eyes, give it at least two full days before the flight.

The clinic is a 2-minute walk from Exit 5 of Nonhyeon Station on the Sinbundang Line, and the address and opening hours are on THE Beautiful Clinic's English homepage. There is no patient parking, so come by subway or taxi.

If your dates are already fixed, send them on WhatsApp together with a short list of anything injected into your face in the last six months and any blood thinner or fish oil you take. Ask one thing: which of my days should be treatment day?

Are the review claims about a year of glow true?

Review threads about Rejuran repeat three claims. Here is how each one holds up medically, as a general picture.

“One session lasts a year.” For most people that overstates it. The glow at day five is partly fluid and early repair; what holds longer usually comes after a series and fades gradually over months. People who are happy at the one-year mark have often kept up maintenance sessions and daily sunscreen in between.

“The bumps are gone by the next morning.” Often true on the cheeks. Under the eyes, on thin skin, or where a small vessel was nicked, bumps and bruising can stay for several days.

“It hurts more than filler.” Rejuran is many small injections into the upper layer of the skin, so people tend to feel it more than a single filler point. Numbing cream and the low-pain HB type make a difference for many people. If you'd like the same duration question set against a full Seoul itinerary, the post on how long Rejuran lasts and your Seoul days covers it from the trip side.

What decides the cost of Rejuran in Seoul?

Rejuran is priced by the amount of product, in cc, so the figure follows what your face needs. The things that change it for your case:

  • Which version: Rejuran (the Healer), Rejuran i for the under-eye area, or Rejuran HB, the low-pain type
  • How much product your skin needs, measured in cc
  • How it is delivered: by hand injection, or Rejuran with Dermashine
  • How many sessions you plan, and whether they fit one trip or several
  • Whether you add another treatment to the same visit

We confirm the figure at consultation, and you can ask for a range in advance. To get one for your case, ask on WhatsApp what it would cost, with a daylight photo and the area you want treated.

Methods: which Rejuran, and how it goes in

Rejuran is the version most people mean by Rejuran Healer: PN placed across the face for texture and fine lines. Rejuran i is made for the thinner skin under the eyes. Rejuran HB is listed on our menu as a low-pain type, which some people choose if they dread injections. Rejuran with Dermashine uses a device to deliver the product.

In my view the version changes comfort and the area treated more than how long the result holds. What moves the duration is your skin and how you look after it at home. PN is one of several skin boosters, and each works on a different timeline, so which one fits matters more than the brand name. The Rejuran treatment page lists the details, and does Rejuran injection hurt compares how each version feels.

Who should wait, and what to do if a reaction shows up at home

Common, temporary reactions are the bumps, mild redness, tenderness when you touch the area and, now and then, bruising. These usually settle within a few days, and a bruise can take about a week. Recovery and results differ from person to person.

As general medicine, I'd suggest waiting if you have an active breakout, infection, cold sore or eczema flare where the injections would go; if you had a laser or peel in the last couple of weeks; if you're taking isotretinoin; if you're pregnant or breastfeeding; or if you have a fish or salmon allergy, since Rejuran is salmon-derived. Blood thinners and some supplements make bruising more likely, so mention them. Whether Rejuran suits your skin on this trip is something I decide when I examine you in person.

At home, watch for anything that gets worse instead of better: a lump that hardens or grows, pain that increases after the second day, heat, spreading redness or fever. Those deserve a doctor in person promptly, without waiting for your next trip. The CDC's medical tourism guidance suggests keeping copies of your records from treatment abroad; a photo of the product label and the treatment date is a simple start to show a local doctor. More detail on the bumps is in Rejuran Korea side effects.

The easiest first message is a daylight photo with no makeup and your arrival and departure dates on WhatsApp, with one question: is one session this trip worth it, or should I plan two visits? You can ask before booking anything, and the clinic answers within 24 business hours. When you come in, the consultation begins with a 3D scan of your skin, and I'll recommend what fits it, sometimes a smaller plan than the one you had in mind.

The short version

  1. Two clocks: injection bumps usually last a day or two, the skin effect holds for several months.
  2. The result builds over the weeks after treatment, so it arrives after your flight home.
  3. Give Rejuran at least two full days before a flight or event if you bruise easily or treat under the eyes.
  4. Cost follows the version, the amount in cc, the delivery method and how many sessions you plan.
  5. Skip it this trip with an active breakout, recent laser or peel, isotretinoin, pregnancy or a fish allergy.

Questions patients ask

Does Rejuran last longer if I do a series of sessions?

Published protocols commonly use a short series spaced a few weeks apart, and a series tends to give a steadier result than a single session. How many suits your skin is a question for the consultation, after the scan.

Can I have Rejuran on the same day as my consultation?

Often, yes. Boosters, lasers and injectables can usually be done straight after the consultation. Treatments with real downtime are better scheduled with your week in mind.

Can I fly the day after Rejuran?

For most people the flight itself is not a problem for small injection bumps. Dry cabin air makes a plain moisturiser useful. If you bruise easily or are treating under the eyes, two full days before the flight gives more room.

Does sunscreen really change how long the result holds?

Yes. Daily sun exposure breaks down collagen and slows the skin's repair, so the effect tends to fade sooner on unprotected skin. A daily broad spectrum SPF is one of the simplest ways to keep the result longer.

Can I combine Rejuran with a lifting treatment on the same trip?

It can often be planned on one trip, but the order matters. Energy devices and injections are sequenced so they do not overlap. Mention everything you are considering when you message, along with your dates.

Results and recovery vary between individuals, and every treatment can have side effects. Prices are from the clinic's price list and are confirmed at consultation. This article is general information, not a diagnosis.
