Plan korean lip filler around your lip shape first and your flight second
Korean lip filler is listed at 219,000 KRW per 1cc before VAT and shapes the lips to suit the nose and chin. Bruising is possible for 2 to 5 days, so the injection belongs early in a Seoul stay.

Korean lip filler is a small injection that reshapes the lips to sit in proportion with the rest of your face, and at THE Beautiful Clinic lip filler is listed at 219,000 KRW per 1cc before 10% VAT. It fits a short Seoul trip if you leave room for one thing: fillers can bruise. Consultations run in English and Bahasa Indonesia, so you can talk the plan through in your language before anything is drawn.
Injectables can usually be done straight after the consultation, so book your korean lip filler early in the trip rather than on the last evening before a flight. That leaves the rest of your days as buffer in case of bruising.
Before a single unit is drawn, we map asymmetry, hollowing and muscle pull across the whole face, and the lips are planned from that map rather than on their own.
Weekends and Friday evenings fill first, so if your dates are already set, message us on WhatsApp and we will plan around them.
What makes lip filler look 'Korean'?
When people say korean lip filler, they usually mean a goal more than a product: defined borders, a clear cupid's bow and a volume that matches the nose and chin.
Many save photos of gradient lipstick and glossy, slightly full lips. Part of that look is makeup: filler changes shape and volume, and it can't add gloss or a colour gradient.
Filler can sharpen the border and the peaks of the cupid's bow that people call an M shape, and add a little support at the corners. It works inside the anatomy you already have, and lips pushed past their natural border tend to read as filled. If the rounded cherry shape is the one you have in mind, the cherry lip filler guide sets out how many Seoul days it needs.
The glossy jelly look in Korean beauty photos is mostly hydration, tint and gloss on top of modest volume. Chasing that shine with more product usually gives size rather than shine.
Most lip fillers are hyaluronic acid gels, and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons describes hyaluronic acid as a substance found naturally in the body. The US Food and Drug Administration regulates dermal fillers as medical devices, which is why it is reasonable to ask which product is being used and to keep its name in your records.
The clinic's injectables group puts its planning this way: asymmetry, hollowing and muscle pull are mapped across the whole face before a single unit is drawn. For the lips, that means looking at how the corners sit at rest, whether the chin supports the lower lip, and how long the space is between nose and upper lip. Contour filler here is placed in deep and superficial planes; the body of the lip and its fine border are different jobs.
Which lips it suits, and which it doesn't
Korean lip filler tends to suit lips that have lost definition, look uneven, or are thin compared with the rest of the face. It suits less well when the only goal is more size, or when the issue really comes from the chin, the teeth or the muscles around the mouth.
| Your lips | What filler can do | What to weigh first |
|---|---|---|
| Thin upper lip, fuller lower lip | Add volume to the upper lip to bring the ratio closer | Too much upper volume can flatten the cupid's bow |
| One side flatter than the other | Add small amounts to the flatter side | Asymmetry from muscle pull or teeth won't change with filler |
| Blurred border, flat cupid's bow | Redefine the edge with fine amounts | Border work is detail work; small amounts show |
| Fine vertical lip lines | Soften the lines with a small amount of soft product | Lines from pursing tend to return as the gel breaks down |
| Corners turning down | Support the corners | Often linked to the chin and jaw muscles too |
| Already full, wanting much more | Limited | Volume past the border tends to look filled |
| Lips that sit forward | Little; filler adds volume in front of the teeth | Teeth or jaw position, assessed by a dentist or orthodontist first |
The last two rows are the ones that most often need a longer conversation. When lips are already full, the change people are looking for often sits elsewhere, in chin projection or the balance of the lower face. When lips protrude because the upper teeth or jaw project, filler usually makes the mouth look more forward, which is why the clinic's planning looks at the whole face first.

What happens on the day of your appointment
For a visitor, korean lip filler usually fits into a single visit. Injectables can usually be done straight after the consultation, so a lip appointment rarely needs a second day in your schedule.
- Come with clean skin and no lipstick if possible, and mention recent fillers, isotretinoin or medication that affects healing.
- The consultation begins with a 3D skin scan.
- Dr. Jang looks at proportion and asymmetry, then maps where product will go. The clinic says no to treatments that would not help, so a no is a possible answer.
- The filler contains anaesthetic, and the sensation is listed as mild.
- Swelling appears straight away, and bruising is possible for 2 to 5 days.
That early swelling is rarely even. One side can look fuller on day one simply because it was injected first or bruised more, so judging the final shape in the hotel mirror the same evening is usually premature.
The clinic is on the second floor of the Jinryeong Building on Gangnam-daero, a 2-minute walk from Exit 5 of Nonhyeon Station on the Sinbundang Line. The contour filler treatment page covers the planes and timelines in more detail.
Weekends and Friday evenings fill first. Saturday hours are 10:30 to 16:30, and the clinic is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
Bruising, swelling and vascular occlusion: the risks to plan around
The common effects of lip filler are swelling, tenderness and bruising, and the clinic lists bruising as possible for 2 to 5 days. Lumps, uneven results and allergic reactions are less common. The rare but serious risk is vascular occlusion, where filler blocks a blood vessel.
The American Academy of Dermatology lists bruising, swelling and redness among the expected side effects of fillers and notes that serious problems are rare. The FDA warns that unintentional injection into a blood vessel can lead to tissue damage and, in rare cases, vision problems. The signs to act on are pain that feels out of proportion, or lip skin that turns pale, white or dusky in the minutes or hours after injection. That needs a doctor the same day, which is one reason not to book lip filler on the morning of a flight.
Hyaluronic acid gel can be broken down with an enzyme injection, and the clinic's menu lists a filler dissolving injection. Whether filler suits your lips, and the amount, is decided at the in-person consultation.
Wait, or at least tell the doctor first, if any of these apply:
- you are pregnant or breastfeeding
- you have an active cold sore or other infection on or around the lips; a history of cold sores matters too, because lip injections can trigger a flare
- you have reacted to a filler before, or have known allergies to its components or to local anaesthetic
- you take blood thinners or have a bleeding disorder, which raises the chance of bruising; don't stop a prescribed medicine without asking the doctor who prescribed it
- older filler is already in your lips and nobody can tell you what it was
If you get cold sores, take blood thinners or have had lip filler before, put that in your first WhatsApp message with a photo of your lips.
Lumps, cold sores and other signs in the weeks after
Small firm spots in the first week are usually swelling or product that has not settled yet, and many soften on their own. Lumps that appear or grow weeks later are a different matter: the FDA lists inflammation, delayed reactions and infection among possible filler complications.
By then the doctor you see will usually be at home, so the table below is written for that moment as much as for the days in Seoul.
| What you notice | What it often points to | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Bruising and swelling in the first days | Expected reaction to the injection | Cool compress, head raised at night, wait |
| A small firm spot in week one | Swelling or product still settling | Don't press it hard; message the clinic with a photo |
| White, dusky or mottled skin with strong pain | Possible blocked blood vessel | Contact the clinic at once; at home, go to emergency care |
| Any change in vision after injection | Rare emergency | Emergency department immediately |
| Tingling or blisters at the lip edge | Possible cold sore flare | See a doctor for antiviral treatment |
| A hot, red, growing lump weeks later | Possible infection or inflammation | See a dermatologist in person with your product record |
Allergic reactions are uncommon but possible. Swelling that keeps increasing with itching, heat or hives needs a doctor in person rather than another day of waiting. The WhatsApp thread with the clinic stays open after you fly home, with replies within 24 business hours, but it is not the route for an emergency.
How many days to leave before your flight home?
Plan korean lip filler early in your stay. With bruising possible for 2 to 5 days, and the clinic's guidance being to fly 2 to 3 days after filler, having it on day one or two of a five-day trip lets most of that window pass while you are still in Seoul.
- A five-day trip: consult and inject on day 1 or 2, and keep the last days for the rest of your plans.
- A Thursday-to-Monday long weekend: inject on Friday and accept that some bruising may travel home with you.
- A Saturday appointment: the clinic is closed on Sundays, so the next day you can walk back in is Monday.
- A short stopover: keep at least two to three days in Seoul after the injection, so you are still near the clinic if something feels wrong.
- Other treatments on the same trip: RF lifting such as Oligio can follow lip filler after 10 days, so it usually belongs to a later visit.
Follow-up after you go home is the part most travellers think about last. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advises medical travellers to keep copies of their records and to arrange follow-up care at home before they leave. For lip filler, that means writing down the product name and amount, so a doctor at home knows what is already there.
If you are also thinking about the lines beside the nose, the nasolabial fold filler article covers placement there.
What korean lip filler costs, and why less looks more natural
The lip filler in Korea cost for your visit comes down mainly to two things: how many cc your lips take and which product goes in. The clinic's list prices lip filler per cc and by product, so a restrained plan is also the smaller bill.
| Item | Listed price (before 10% VAT) | What it depends on |
|---|---|---|
| Lip filler, 1cc | 219,000 KRW | How many cc your lips take |
| Juvederm or Restylane, 1cc | 450,000 KRW | Whether an imported product suits your lips |
| Filler dissolving injection, 1 session | 110,000 KRW | Only if older filler has to be broken down first |
Prices are from the list of 20 August 2026 and exclude 10% VAT. The final figure is confirmed at consultation, after the 3D Meta-Vu scan and before anything is started.
Three other things change the total. Older filler that has set unevenly may need dissolving first, and many doctors let the lip settle before new product goes in, so a short trip may suit only one of those steps. If the corners of the mouth or the chin are part of the plan for balance, that is more product. A top-up before you fly home is a second visit, so ask how it is priced before you book flights.
Three things make most treated lips look treated, and the brand on the syringe is rarely one of them. Volume past what the lip can hold pushes it forward, so it projects in profile. Filler placed above the vermilion border, the line where the red of the lip meets the skin, can blur that line over months, which is often called migration. And when the upper lip overtakes the lower one, which in many faces is slightly fuller, the mouth reads as filled even after a small amount.
That is why a first lip session usually uses a modest amount. Swelling peaks in the first day or two and, for many people, takes up to about two weeks to settle fully, so a lip judged on day one looks bigger than it will be. Topping up inside that window is how a plan grows past what the face needed, and adding a little on a later visit is simpler than taking product away.
That makes korean lip filler a reasonable fit for a short trip: one visit, small amounts, and a clear rule about the days before your flight.
What to send before you plan the trip
Send two things on WhatsApp: a daylight photo of your lips, front and side, without lipstick, and your Seoul dates. If you have had lip filler before, add roughly when, since it changes the plan for new product. You can also request a time on the booking page. If you already know what you want to ask about, tick Contour Filler in the booking selector and send that list on WhatsApp.
Prices for each filler are on our filler price list for Korea.
The short version
- Korean lip filler aims at defined borders and balance with the nose and chin, with modest volume.
- Lip filler is listed at 219,000 KRW per 1cc before 10% VAT, so the cc used and the product drive most of the cost.
- Bruising is possible for 2 to 5 days and the clinic's guidance is to fly 2 to 3 days after filler, so inject early in your trip.
- Vascular occlusion is rare but serious; pale or dusky lip skin after injection needs a doctor the same day.
- Write down the product name and amount for follow-up at home.
Questions patients ask
Does lip filler hurt?
The filler used for contour work at the clinic contains anaesthetic, and the sensation is listed as mild. Lips are sensitive, so expect pressure and some stinging during the injection. Swelling and tenderness afterwards are normal.
Is lip filler in Seoul priced per syringe or per cc?
Per cc and by product. Lip filler is listed at 219,000 KRW per 1cc before 10% VAT, and Juvederm or Restylane at 450,000 KRW per 1cc. How many cc your lips need is confirmed at the consultation, after the 3D scan.
How long does korean lip filler last?
The clinic lists contour filler as lasting 9 to 18 months by product. The gel breaks down gradually, so a later top-up is normal if you want to keep the shape.
Can lip filler be dissolved if I don't like the result?
Hyaluronic acid filler can be broken down with an enzyme injection, and the clinic's menu lists a filler dissolving injection. Give the swelling time to settle before deciding, because lips look larger in the first days.
Is a lip flip the same as lip filler?
No. A lip flip uses a small muscle-relaxing injection to relax the muscle around the mouth so the upper lip rolls out slightly, and it adds no volume. Filler adds volume and shape directly.
Can filler fix protruding lips?
Usually not. If the teeth or jaw push the lips forward, filler adds volume in front of that structure and tends to make the mouth look more forward, so a dentist or orthodontist should assess it first.
How do I keep a natural result from korean lip filler?
Keep the first amount small, keep the filler inside the lip border, and judge the shape only after the swelling settles, which for many people takes up to about two weeks. Adding more inside that window is the usual way lips end up looking filled.
Results and recovery vary between individuals, and every treatment can have side effects. Prices are from the clinic's price list and are confirmed at consultation. This article is general information, not a diagnosis.
