Hip dip filler is filler placed along the side of the hips, below the hip bone, to soften the inward curve many people call a hip dip. At THE Beautiful Clinic in Seoul it is listed as pelvis filler, part of our contour filler work, and it is planned as one line from the waist to the thigh rather than a hollow to fill. This guide covers the price, filler against Sculptra, what the research says and who should wait.
I'm Dr. Jang Dong-hoon, Founder & Medical Director of the clinic. I consult, plan and treat myself, so the person who looks at your hips is the person who does the injection. You can message us in English or Bahasa Indonesia, and messages are answered within 24 business hours.
What a hip dip is, and what filler can change
A hip dip is the inward curve between the top of the pelvis and the top of the thigh bone. Its depth is set mostly by bone: how high and wide the pelvis is, and where the thigh bone meets it. That is why it shows on lean and fuller bodies alike, and why weight loss or exercise often leaves it where it was.
Filler cannot move bone. Hip dip filler adds volume in the soft tissue over the dip so the line from waist to thigh reads smoother. A shallow dip with a smooth line above and below it is the case it suits best. A deep dip on a wide frame may need more product than one session makes sensible, and that should be said at consultation, before any price.
Hip dip filler price in Seoul
| Item | Product | Price (KRW) |
|---|---|---|
| Pelvis filler | Atierre | 3,990,000 |
| Pelvis filler | Rejuviel | 5,900,000 |
| Hip Sculptra | Sculptra, 1 session | 7,500,000 |
The list gives one figure per product for pelvis filler, not a price per cc. Which product suits you, and whether one session is enough, depends on the depth of the dip and the tissue over it.
Prices are from the list of 20 August 2026 and exclude 10% VAT. The final figure is confirmed at consultation, after the 3D Meta-Vu scan and before anything is started.
If you are comparing hip dip filler cost between countries, check what each quote covers. Many clinics price body filler by the syringe or vial, and a hip takes far more product than a face, so a low per-unit figure can still add up to a higher total.
Hip dip filler or Sculptra: which one?
Both are on our list for the hips, and they work in different ways. Pelvis filler adds a gel that holds volume from the day it goes in. Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid, which prompts your own collagen, so the change builds over weeks and is harder to date.
| Pelvis filler | Hip Sculptra | |
|---|---|---|
| How it works | Adds volume directly | Prompts your own collagen |
| When you see it | On the day, once swelling settles | Builds over weeks |
| How long it holds | Months, depending on product and amount | Around 2 years on the face, per our treatment page |
| List price | 3,990,000 or 5,900,000 KRW | 7,500,000 KRW per session |
| Best match | A shallow dip, a result needed soon | Gradual change, a longer horizon |
People searching Sculptra hip dips often want the longer horizon without a filled look, and that is a fair reason to choose it. The trade is that you leave Seoul without seeing the final result, and a course may need more than one session. Our Sculptra price guide covers how the product works on the face.
What the FDA says, and what the research shows
The U.S. FDA says no dermal filler is approved to increase the size of the buttocks, and it advises against that use. In the United States no filler is approved for the hips either, and Sculptra's approval covers facial wrinkles. So hip dip filler is a use outside those approvals, and you should hear that from any clinic before you book.
The research on hyaluronic acid filler in the body is small and recent. A 2025 study followed 30 women in Brazil for a year after filler in the buttocks: the average amount was about 44 mL, no serious adverse events were reported, and satisfaction fell from 90% at day 30 to 62% at 12 months as the filler broke down. The filler maker supplied the product.
A 2026 study from a single Seoul clinic looked back at 26 women given 200 to 360 mL in the buttocks. Minor problems such as swelling, bruising and temporary firmness occurred in 19.2%, and no major complication was seen over six months. One author chairs the company that makes the filler. Neither study looked at hip dips alone, and neither followed people for years.
Risks, and who should wait
The common effects are swelling, tenderness and bruising at the injection points. Our contour filler page lists possible bruising for 2 to 5 days. Less common problems are lumps you can feel, uneven sides, infection and, rarely, filler entering a blood vessel, which is why the area and depth matter more than the product name.
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- An infection, a rash or a wound on the hips or thighs.
- Filler, fat transfer or surgery in the same area that you have not told us about.
- Blood thinners or supplements that raise the chance of bruising.
- A past reaction to filler or to Sculptra, or a tendency to keloid scars.
If any of these apply, it does not always mean no. It means we talk about timing first, and for some people the right answer is to wait until a later trip.

Planning the days in Seoul
- Before you fly. Send standing photos of your hips from the front, back and side, anything injected there before with the dates, and your days in Seoul.
- On the day. The consultation comes first. If the plan is clear, treatment can usually follow the same day.
- The next days. Swelling is most visible early. Avoid saunas, hard exercise and tight waistbands for the first few days, and follow the written aftercare.
- Before the flight. Leave at least one or two days between treatment and a long flight so any bruising or tenderness can be checked.
The clinic is on the 2nd floor of the Jinryeong Building, a two-minute walk from Exit 5 of Nonhyeon Station. There is no patient parking, so come by subway or taxi. For a day-by-day view of recovery, see what to expect after body filler in Korea.
Once home, a small lump you can feel in the second week is common enough to ask about with a photo. The CDC advises medical travellers to keep a record of what was done, so ask for the product name and amount before you leave. Redness that spreads, heat, pain that grows or a fever needs a doctor where you are, the same day.
How to start
Send the photos and your dates, and ask one question: is my hip dip a filler case, a Sculptra case, or neither. When your dates are fixed, tick contour filler in the booking selector and send the list on WhatsApp.
The short version
- On our list of 20 August 2026, before 10% VAT, pelvis filler is 3,990,000 KRW with Atierre or 5,900,000 KRW with Rejuviel, while a session of Sculptra for the hips is listed at 7,500,000 KRW.
- A hip dip is shaped mostly by bone, so filler softens the line over it but cannot change the frame underneath.
- Filler shows on the day and breaks down over months; Sculptra builds collagen slowly and its change appears over weeks.
- The U.S. FDA has not approved any dermal filler for enlarging the buttocks and advises against it, and no filler there is approved for the hips either.
- Expect swelling and possible bruising for 2 to 5 days, and leave days in Seoul before your flight.
Questions patients ask
How much is hip dip filler in Korea?
On our list of 20 August 2026, before 10% VAT, pelvis filler is 3,990,000 KRW with Atierre or 5,900,000 KRW with Rejuviel. Hip Sculptra is 7,500,000 KRW per session. The final figure is confirmed at consultation.
Is hip dip filler or Sculptra better for hip dips?
Neither in general. Filler adds volume you can see on the day and breaks down over months. Sculptra prompts your own collagen, builds over weeks and costs more per session. The depth of the dip and how soon you need the result decide it.
How long does hip dip filler last?
It depends on the product and the amount. The clinic's contour filler page gives 9 to 18 months by product for the face. In a 2025 study of filler in the buttocks, satisfaction fell from 90% at day 30 to 62% at 12 months as the filler broke down.
Is hip dip filler approved by the FDA?
No. The U.S. FDA says no dermal filler is approved to increase the size of the buttocks and advises against that use, and none is approved for the hips. Ask any clinic which product it uses and what that product is approved for.
Can hip dip filler get rid of hip dips completely?
Not always. A hip dip is set mostly by the shape of the pelvis and thigh bone. Filler can soften a shallow dip; a deep dip on a wide frame may only partly change, and that should be said before any price.
How many days should I stay in Seoul after hip dip filler?
Plan at least one or two days after the treatment before a long flight. Swelling is most visible early, and the clinic lists possible bruising for 2 to 5 days after contour filler.
Results and recovery vary between individuals, and every treatment can have side effects. Prices are from the clinic's price list and are confirmed at consultation. This article is general information, not a diagnosis.
