Juvelook recovery in Seoul or at home? Cost, reviews, method, nights

Most of what you can see after Juvelook settles within days, and the rest happens after you fly home. The clinic is open six days a week and is a 2-minute walk from Nonhyeon Station Exit 5.

Where should your Juvelook recovery in Seoul end and your recovery at home begin, if you only have five days of leave? The answer decides the date on your return ticket.

Before you book that ticket, read this through.

By the end you'll know what decides the cost of Juvelook, which review claims hold up, how it is injected, and what happens to your skin day by day. That lets you decide how many nights to set aside in Seoul, for your skin and your budget.

Hello, I'm Dr. Jang Dong-hoon, Founder & Medical Director of THE Beautiful Clinic in Seoul.

I consult, plan and treat myself, and the consultation begins with a 3D scan of your skin, not with a price list. Consultations are available in Bahasa Indonesia and English, and the clinic is a 2-minute walk from Nonhyeon Station Exit 5.

I'm writing this because many people extend their leave to wait for Juvelook results in Seoul, when the result they are waiting for only forms weeks after they get home.

The visible part of recovery, meaning redness, bumps at the injection points and sometimes bruising, usually passes within one to a few days in Seoul. The collagen builds at home, slowly, over the weeks that follow.

If you're not sure how many nights to set aside, send one makeup-free photo of your face in daylight on WhatsApp, add your Seoul dates, and ask one question: is my area likely to need subcision? The answer to that question changes your number of days more than anything else.

What happens in the skin after Juvelook is injected?

Juvelook is a collagen stimulator. It is based on polylactic acid (PLA) mixed with hyaluronic acid. It is not meant to add volume the way a gel filler does; the PLA particles prompt the skin to make its own collagen, and that process runs over weeks.

The boosters at our clinic, such as PN, PLA, PLLA, CaHA, exosomes and pure type-1 collagen, each work on a different timeline. That is why, to me, the choice of material matters more than the brand.

So two clocks run at the same time. The first is the skin's reaction to the needle: a few hours to a few days. The second is collagen: weeks to months. The only one you need to plan around in Seoul is the first.

If you're still weighing building collagen against improving the skin's surface quality, the comparison of Juvelook and Rejuran (in Bahasa Indonesia) covers it in detail. The material and how it works are also described on the Juvelook treatment page.

Juvelook recovery in Seoul and at home, day by day

The question of where your Juvelook recovery in Seoul fits has two answers: the first few days in Seoul, the rest at home. The table separates the two. The day counts are a general pattern for booster injections and not a promise for your skin.

Juvelook recovery in Seoul and at home, day by day
TimeWhat you usually seeWhat it means for your trip
Injection day, first few hoursRedness and small bumps at the injection pointsBack to the hotel or an easy walk, no makeup
Days 1 to 2Bumps and mild swelling usually settle; a bruise can appear, more often with subcisionSensible days to still be in Seoul
Days 3 to 7Bruising fades gradually and turns yellowishMany people have already flown home; makeup can cover it
Weeks 4 to 12Collagen usually builds slowlyHappens at home, no need to be in Seoul

Our clinic FAQ notes that Fraxel, Agnes, thread lifting and filler have visible recovery, while the other treatments on our site can usually be shown in public straight away apart from a few hours of redness. Juvelook belongs to the second group. The exception is subcision: the needle that releases acne scar bands under the skin leaves bruising more often, and a bruise takes longer than an injection bump.

A day-by-day stay plan for a longer schedule is in the day-by-day notes on the Juvelook collagen stimulator (in Bahasa Indonesia). When change starts to show in the mirror is covered separately in Juvelook results that appear after you fly home (in Bahasa Indonesia).

Say you're 33, live in Surabaya, have rolling acne scars on both cheeks, and your doctor at home said regular filler doesn't suit scars like that. You have five days of leave: arriving Monday morning, flying home Friday night.

Here is how I would weigh it. Consultation and scan on Monday or Tuesday. If the scars are tethered and need subcision, I want the injection done by Tuesday at the latest, so a bruise has three days to start fading before you head to the airport. If the scan shows Juvelook alone is enough, even Thursday still makes sense.

If your acne scars are rolling, add a side photo with light falling at an angle from a window, because scar dips show most clearly from that angle. Also write whether you've had cheek filler or are taking isotretinoin, so your first question already carries the history that shapes the plan.

Method: manual injection, Dermashine, or with subcision?

Our clinic's price list records Juvelook per session with 2cc or 4cc, subcision if needed, and an extra tip when it is injected with Dermashine. Each affects recovery differently.

  • Manual injection. The material goes in point by point and the depth is set area by area. The small bumps at the injection points usually settle within one to two days.
  • With a Dermashine tip. This injector device delivers the material in a dense, shallow grid. The marks are usually rows of fine dots that settle over a similar time.
  • With subcision. Only for acne scars that are tethered downward. This is the part that most often adds bruising and, with it, extra days.

My choice follows what the scan shows: thin, dull skin, a slightly hollow cheek, or acne scars tethered underneath. The same plan is not repeated on everybody.

Juvelook reviews: which claims hold up?

On TikTok and in forums a few claims come up again and again. Some are true, some need context.

“My skin was glowing the next day.” First-day glow often comes from the hyaluronic acid and mild swelling. Collagen from PLA takes weeks, so that early glow can fade before the real change shows.

“The bumps were gone in a day.” For injection bumps, often true. For bruising after subcision, not always, and on medium-brown skin a fading bruise can leave a brownish tint a little longer.

“Once is enough” or “you need three sessions.” Neither can be known before your skin is scanned. The number of sessions is part of the plan, not a standard figure.

“Hard lumps can appear months later.” Rare, but it has been reported. A case report in the Annals of Dermatology (2020) describes a foreign body reaction that appeared long after poly-L-lactic acid injections, a material from the same family as the PLA in Juvelook.

What decides the cost of Juvelook for your skin?

The cost of Juvelook can't be read from one number on social media, because several things differ from person to person:

  1. The amount per session, which our price list records as 2cc or 4cc.
  2. Whether your acne scars need subcision.
  3. Manual injection or a Dermashine tip.
  4. How many sessions are planned, which only makes sense to discuss after the scan.
  5. Whether you want to combine it with other treatments on the same trip.

Because these differ for everyone, our clinic confirms the figure at the consultation rather than listing a starting price that changes later. Other treatments you could combine on one visit are on THE Beautiful Clinic's home page. Ask on WhatsApp for the range for your case before you fly.

Risks and side effects to know

The most common temporary reactions are a few hours of redness, bumps at the injection points for one to two days, mild swelling, and bruising that can last from a few days to about a week. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration lists bruising, redness, swelling, pain and itching as common side effects of filler injections, and injection into a blood vessel as a rare but serious complication.

As general medical guidance, it is wiser to postpone Juvelook if any of these apply:

  • An infection, inflamed acne or an open wound at the injection site.
  • A recent laser or peel on the same area.
  • Taking isotretinoin now or recently.
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
  • An allergy to one of the ingredients, or a lump after a previous injection.
  • Filler in the same area; mention it from the start.

Suitability is finally decided at the in-person exam, because a photo can't show skin thickness or how deep acne scars go.

Once you are home, a lump that hardens, spreading redness, warmth or increasing pain should be checked by a local doctor. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advises medical travelers to carry copies of their medical records and arrange follow-up care at home, so keep the product name and the cc amount injected. Send a photo of the area to the clinic on WhatsApp too; the clinic answers messages within 24 business hours. Sudden severe pain, skin turning pale or changing color, or any change in vision is an emergency: go to the nearest emergency department.

Planning your days in Seoul

The clinic is open Monday to Thursday from 10:30 to 19:30, Friday until 20:30 and Saturday until 16:30. Weekdays have a lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00; Saturdays run without one. Sundays and public holidays are closed, so if you land on a Saturday afternoon, the earliest consultation is Monday.

A few days ahead is usually enough to book, but weekends and Friday evenings fill fastest. Boosters such as Juvelook can often be done straight after the consultation, so one visit can hold both the scan and the injection. Come with a clean face and no makeup if you can. If you're unsure whether five days is enough, also read about Juvelook's drawbacks on a short Seoul trip (in Bahasa Indonesia).

On our booking page you can tick whatever you want checked and send the list on WhatsApp. The clinic replies with a plan, a realistic order and a price range, in English or Bahasa Indonesia.

So, for Juvelook recovery in Seoul: the days of bumps and bruising happen there, the weeks of collagen building happen at home. Send your return flight date on WhatsApp and ask one thing: on which day of my trip should Juvelook be scheduled? One message and one photo are enough to start, and you can ask before booking anything. When you come, I scan your skin and recommend what fits, including a smaller plan if that makes more sense for this trip.

The short version

  1. Visible Juvelook recovery usually passes in Seoul within one to a few days.
  2. Collagen builds slowly at home over the following weeks.
  3. Subcision for acne scars adds the most days, because of bruising.
  4. Cost is decided by cc amount, subcision, the Dermashine tip and the number of sessions.
  5. A lump or pain after you fly home: see a local doctor and send the clinic a photo.

Questions patients ask

How many nights should I stay in Seoul after Juvelook?

Without subcision, many people only need the rest of the injection day and one night before they feel comfortable flying. With subcision for acne scars, leave a few days before your flight because bruising is more likely. The right number of nights for you is discussed at the consultation.

Can I fly right after a Juvelook injection?

For booster injections there is no general rule against flying the next day. The main considerations are comfort, any bruising, and knowing where you will be checked if something bothers you at home.

Can Juvelook be done on the day of the consultation?

Often, yes. Lasers, boosters and aesthetic injections can usually be done straight after the consultation, so the scan and the injection can fit into one visit.

When can I wear makeup and a hijab again?

Many doctors suggest waiting until the next day before putting makeup on the injected area. A hijab can be worn as usual, as long as the fabric doesn't press hard on the cheeks on the first day.

What should I do if a lump appears after I fly home?

See a local doctor and bring the product name and the cc amount injected. Send a photo of the area to the clinic on WhatsApp as well; the clinic answers messages within 24 business hours. Severe pain or skin turning pale is an emergency.

Is Juvelook suitable for medium-brown skin?

Juvelook is an injection, so its risk of post-inflammatory dark marks differs from heat-based lasers. On medium-brown skin a fading bruise can leave a brownish tint for longer. Mention your skin type when you contact the clinic.

Results and recovery vary between individuals, and every treatment can have side effects. Prices are from the clinic's price list and are confirmed at consultation. This article is general information, not a diagnosis.
