Pigment & redness
Seoul Excel V Plus price: what decides it? Reviews, method and recovery
The cost of Excel V+ follows the number of sessions and the devices in your plan. This device uses 2 wavelengths for redness and pigment, so the skin scan gets read before any figure is discussed.

Worried that the Seoul Excel V Plus price you found only counts one session, when the redness and spots on your cheeks may need more than that?
Read this before you work out a budget or book a flight.
By the end, you'll know what decides the cost, which review claims hold up, what the method involves, and what recovery looks like when you fly home. From there you can judge which plan makes sense for your skin and your budget.
Hello, I'm Dr. Jang Dong-hoon, Founder & Medical Director of THE Beautiful Clinic in Seoul.
At our clinic, I do the consultation, the planning and the treatment myself. The consultation begins with a 3D skin scan, and the final price is given before treatment, with no obligation.
I'm writing this because many people compare the price of one session, then realize in Seoul that something else decides the total.
The cost of Excel V+ in Seoul is decided by the number of sessions, whether it is combined with another device, and how many times you need to come back. You can ask for the figure for your case directly on WhatsApp.
Send one photo of your cheek in daylight and one question: which bothers you more, the red or the spots. That photo means your cost question starts from your own face, and there is no obligation to book.
Seoul Excel V Plus price: what decides the cost?
Most of the variation comes from the plan, while the price tag only shows one small piece. Here are five things to ask any clinic before you add up a total.
- Number of sessions. Our price list records Excel V+ at our clinic per session, so the total follows the number of visits in the plan.
- Alone or combined. Excel V+ combined with Aileen or Mosaic is a separate line on our price list.
- Other devices in the plan. If the scan shows a mainly vascular problem, Vbeam Perfecta may come into the conversation. Ask whether the figure you receive includes that device.
- Numbing cream. Ask whether numbing cream is used for your area and whether it is counted separately.
- Days in Seoul and return visits. Flights, lodging and leave for a second visit often weigh more on a budget than a gap on a price list.
To get the figure for your case, write on WhatsApp: what would Excel V+ cost for this photo, and what is included. You can also use our treatment booking list to tick what you want looked at. There is no deposit, and the final price is still given before treatment begins.
Two wavelengths, two targets in the same skin
Our site records Excel V+ as a device with two wavelengths that treats vascular and pigmented lesions together: flushing, melasma and sun spots. The specifications commonly given for this device are 532 nm and 1064 nm. In general terms, 532 nm works closer to the surface, while 1064 nm goes deeper and is absorbed less by melanin.
That is why one figure rarely fits everyone. A systematic review in the Journal of Clinical Medicine (2025) explains that pigmented lesions respond to melanin targeting and vascular lesions respond to hemoglobin absorption, and that vascular treatment may need millisecond pulses. So skin that looks only red, only spotted, or both will head toward different settings.
| What you see in the mirror | What the laser reads | Question for the cost |
|---|---|---|
| Cheeks flush easily, fine vessels | Hemoglobin | Is Excel V+ alone enough, or is Vbeam Perfecta needed? |
| Sun spots | Melanin | How many sessions are planned, and is anything combined? |
| Redness with spots | Both | Which gets treated first, and how many visits? |
| Faint patches on the cheeks, possibly melasma | Deeper melanin | What is the plan for continued care after going home? |
Melasma, sun spots and post-acne redness look similar in a mirror and behave very differently under a laser. That is why we do the 3D scan first, and I choose the energy by what the scan actually reads.

How many sessions should you budget for?
I can't give you a general number, and you should be suspicious of anyone who gives one before seeing your skin. In a review of light devices for facial redness, the schedules studied varied widely, from one to five sessions, usually about four weeks apart. The devices in that review were varied, so those numbers don't transfer directly to Excel V+.
Our clinic's records include one pigment and blemish case treated with Excel V+ over 15 sessions, and one case of redness with pigment using Vbeam Perfecta with Excel V+. We print the number of visits because a result with no number next to it implies one appointment. That 15 is not a benchmark for you.
Say you're 50, you live in Medan, your cheeks flush in hot rooms, you have a few sun spots, and you have five days in Seoul. I'd ask first: can you come back to Seoul this year or not? If not, one session of Excel V+ is a trial with clear limits, and you need to know from the start that one visit may not settle both complaints.
What do reviews say about Excel V+, and which claims hold up?
Online reviews tend to repeat the same few claims. Three of them are worth checking.
- “One laser and the redness is gone.” You can't plan on this. Studies of light devices for facial redness generally use several sessions, and for some people the redness returns within months.
- “Spots look darker after the laser.” This can be true. Treated spots often darken for a while and flake off, and in some people new post-inflammatory marks appear and take time to fade.
- “The price in a review works for my budget.” It's better not to rely on it. People rarely write how many sessions, which areas and which combination were counted, so that figure may not match your plan.
Risks and side effects to know
The common reactions are temporary: redness, swelling, a feeling of heat, and sometimes crusting. The same systematic review notes that side effects of 532 nm lasers were mostly mild and temporary, including redness, swelling, crusting and blistering. Other work suggests 532 nm tends to cause more swelling and redness than a 595 nm dye laser, and those complaints usually clear within days. Pain and recovery still differ from person to person.
Less common but worth knowing are blisters, changes in skin color and scarring. A scoping review of lasers for pigmented lesions describes post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation as common, particularly in darker skin, so a tan or brown skin tone needs to be discussed openly before the first shot.
As general guidance, wait or talk it through first if you:
- have an infection or inflammation in the area to be treated
- have fresh sunburn, or recently had a peel or another laser
- are taking or recently took isotretinoin, or a medicine that makes skin sensitive to light
- are pregnant or breastfeeding
- have had keloids or long-lasting marks after skin treatment
If blisters, growing pain or signs of infection appear after you get home, see a dermatologist in your city promptly, then send a photo to our clinic's WhatsApp. WhatsApp replies come within 24 business hours, including after you go home. The US CDC advises medical travelers to take copies of their records from the destination facility before returning, so ask for your treatment notes before you head to the airport.
Before booking, send a list of the medicines you take and your history of marks after treatment, then ask one thing: is there anything to stop before the laser. You can write in English or Indonesian, and our clinic's home page shows how to book from abroad.
What is recovery like when you fly home?
I won't give you a number of days that applies to everyone, because your settings and area aren't known yet. As a general medical picture, redness and mild swelling after this type of laser usually settle within days, and treated spots may darken before they flake. Ask at the consultation what to expect for the settings used on your skin.
Going home to a tropical climate adds one thing: the sun. As general advice, wear sunscreen every day and avoid strong heat while the skin is still red or flaking, because sun exposure can raise the risk of new marks on healing skin. During wudu, rinse gently and don't rub any area that is still crusted.
Planning your days in Seoul
The clinic is open Monday to Thursday from 10:30 to 19:30, Friday until 20:30, and Saturday until 16:30 with no break, and it is closed on Sundays and public holidays. Lunch is from 13:00 to 14:00. If you land on a Sunday, plan to come early on Monday. We are at 2F Jinryeong Building, a two-minute walk from Nonhyeon Station Exit 5. There is no patient parking, so come by subway or taxi.
Some people want to add another treatment during the same trip, and that changes the flight schedule. Lumps after a skin booster injection and waiting time after lip filler can both affect your date of return, so ask about each one before adding it to a laser plan. If you haven't chosen a clinic at all yet, ask each one you are considering who examines you, who treats you and what the figure includes.
One reminder about searching: the Seoul Excel V Plus price you find today only helps if you know how many sessions and which devices are counted inside it.
The next step is small. On WhatsApp, send your dates in Seoul and a front-facing photo in daylight, then ask: what would it cost for my case if I can only come once? One photo is enough, and you can ask before booking anything. When you come, I examine your skin with the 3D scan and recommend the treatment that fits.
The short version
- Our price list records Excel V+ per session, so the total follows the number of visits.
- A combination with Aileen or Mosaic is a separate line.
- Vascular lasers in studies are often spaced weeks apart, so the number of trips belongs in the sum.
- Tan or brown skin needs extra attention to the risk of post-inflammatory marks.
- The final price is given before treatment, with no obligation.
Questions patients ask
Is Excel V+ suitable for tan or brown skin?
It can be discussed, but post-inflammatory marks are reported more often in darker skin. Mention your skin type and your history of marks before the first shot, because that affects the settings and possibly the choice of device.
Is the price the clinic quotes final?
At our clinic, the final price is given before treatment with no obligation, and there is no deposit. At any clinic, ask whether the figure covers all the planned sessions and devices.
Can Excel V+ cure melasma?
Our site lists melasma among the targets of Excel V+, but melasma generally tends to return and needs continued care. Don't assume one visit will settle it.
Is there staff to help with translation?
The clinic's own staff interpret, at no charge. WhatsApp messages are answered in English or Indonesian, within 24 business hours.
I take regular medication. Should I stop it before a laser?
Don't stop any medicine by yourself. Send your list before you come and talk to the doctor who prescribed it if anything needs adjusting, especially isotretinoin or medicines that make skin sensitive to light.
Do I need to prepare my skin before leaving?
As general advice, avoid sunburn before a laser. Bring notes of your latest treatments, including any recent laser or peel, so they can be discussed at the consultation.
Results and recovery vary between individuals, and every treatment can have side effects. Prices are from the clinic's price list and are confirmed at consultation. This article is general information, not a diagnosis.
