If you have been reading about Excel V laser Korea treatments, it is usually because your skin has more than one thing going on: redness or broken capillaries on the cheeks and nose, and sun spots or uneven tone on top. Excel V+ was built for that combination. It carries two wavelengths on one platform, so the doctor can move between vessels and pigment in the same session instead of booking two treatments. This guide covers what the laser does, who it suits, the price, how it compares with Vbeam, recovery and how to fit it into a trip to Seoul.
It also covers the cases where Excel V+ is not the first choice, because a laser that does two things is not automatically the right tool for both of yours.
What the Excel V+ laser does
According to its manufacturer, Cutera, Excel V+ delivers high-power 532 nm and 1064 nm wavelengths. The 532 nm wavelength is cleared for benign vascular lesions and benign pigmented lesions such as lentigines, and the 1064 nm wavelength reaches deeper vessels and is also cleared for mild to moderate inflammatory acne. In plain terms, the shorter wavelength works on surface redness and brown spots, and the longer one goes further down.
At this clinic the spot size and energy are chosen per lesion rather than per session, so the doctor matches the setting to what is in front of him as he moves across the face. That is the practical point of the platform: faces rarely present with only redness or only pigment, and treating both in one sitting keeps the total number of visits down.
- Redness and visible vessels: capillaries on the cheeks and around the nose, background flushing.
- Brown spots: sun spots and uneven tone in the upper layer of the skin.
- Post-acne marks: red or brown marks that stay after a breakout has healed.
- Overall texture: a smoother look as the tone evens out.
Excel V+ vs Vbeam: which laser for which redness
Both lasers are on our menu and both treat redness, so this is the comparison most people ask about. Vbeam Perfecta is a pulsed dye laser whose wavelength is absorbed by haemoglobin and almost nothing else, which is why it is the platform we reach for when redness is purely vascular and the skin is reactive. Excel V+ is the broader tool: less specialised for vessels, but able to treat pigment in the same visit.
| Excel V+ | Vbeam Perfecta | |
|---|---|---|
| Laser type | 532 nm and 1064 nm | Pulsed dye |
| Main targets | Vessels and epidermal pigment | Dermal vessels |
| Listed price before VAT | 169,000 KRW per session | 179,000 KRW per session |
| Usual downtime | Mild redness for a few hours | From a few hours of redness to bruising, by setting |
| Usually chosen when | Redness and brown spots together | Redness is the whole problem, or skin is reactive |
The two can be done on the same day when a face needs both. If redness is your main concern and you want the detail on Vbeam settings, sessions and bruising, the Vbeam laser guide covers it. If pigment is the main concern, the pico toning price guide explains the laser most often used for melasma-type tone.

Excel V laser Korea price and number of sessions
On the clinic's list, Excel V+ is 169,000 KRW per session, and 189,000 KRW when it is combined with Aileen or Mosaic in the same visit. As with every price here, 10% VAT is added on top, and the final quote is given after the skin analysis and consultation and before treatment, with no obligation to go ahead.
How many sessions you need depends on what is being treated and how your skin answers the first one. Results on the clinic's treatment data last three to six months, and vascular redness in general tends to come back gradually, so many people plan a further session when it does. A visitor can usually have the first session in Seoul and decide about the next from photos taken a few weeks later.
Recovery, aftercare and your flight
The usual downtime after Excel V+ is mild redness for a few hours, and the sensation is moderate. Brown spots can darken slightly before they fade, which is expected rather than a sign that something has gone wrong. Laser aftercare at this clinic follows the same rules for every laser:
- Avoid heat and hard exercise for 24 to 48 hours. Heat brings the redness back.
- Skip the sauna for a week.
- Keep out of direct sun for two weeks, and use sunscreen every day; fresh pigment work is sensitive to sun.
- Do not book the laser on the day you fly. Cabin air is dry and the clinic does not recommend a laser on the day of a flight.
For a trip, that means a session early in the stay, a day or two of ordinary sightseeing with sunscreen, and the flight at the end. How many days each treatment needs before you fly helps if you are combining Excel V+ with something that has longer downtime.
Who should wait, and when another laser fits better
The manufacturer lists pregnancy as a contraindication, and a fresh tan, an active infection or an open wound in the area are reasons to move the date. If you have darker skin or a history of marks staying after inflammation, say so at the consultation; postinflammatory hyperpigmentation is a known risk with any laser, and the settings are chosen with it in mind. Melasma is its own condition, and the American Academy of Dermatology notes it often needs a combined plan rather than one device.
Planning an Excel V laser Korea visit
The consultation starts with a 3D Meta-Vu skin analysis, which separates surface pigment from deeper colour and shows the vessel pattern on screen. That is what decides whether Excel V+, Vbeam or another laser is the right first step. A first visit takes 60 to 90 minutes. The clinic is open Monday to Thursday from 10:30 to 19:30, Friday until 20:30 and Saturday until 16:30, and it is a two-minute walk from Exit 5 of Nonhyeon Station.
An interpreter stays with you at no charge, and messages can be in English or Bahasa Indonesia. When your dates are set, tick Excel V+ in the booking selector and add anything else you want looked at. Before you fly home, note the treatment name, the date and the areas treated, and keep your sunscreen close for the next two weeks.
