Rejuran how long to recover: is that what you're trying to pin down because your mother or father wants this injection and has one week in Seoul before a long flight home?

Read this before you book their flight.

You'll know what decides the cost, what reviews get right and wrong, which methods change the recovery, and how many days to leave, so you can choose a plan that fits your parent's skin and your budget.

Hello, I'm Dr. Jang Dong-hoon, Founder & Medical Director at THE Beautiful Clinic in Seoul.

I consult, plan and treat here, and the consultation begins with a 3D scan of the skin. We take messages in English and Bahasa Indonesia, and the clinic is a 2-minute walk from Nonhyeon Station Exit 5, which helps if your parent tires quickly.

I wrote this because most recovery timelines picture a younger face with no daily medicines, and that's rarely the person an adult child brings to Seoul.

As general medicine, small injection bumps usually settle in one to two days, and a bruise can take a week or more. For a parent over 50, I'd plan about three clear days before the flight, or five if they bruise easily or take a blood thinner.

If you can't tell which end of that range your parent sits at, send one daylight photo of their face and their flight date on WhatsApp, and ask how many days you should leave.

Rejuran how long to recover: what each stage usually looks like

Rejuran places polynucleotide, a material made of DNA fragments, into many small deposits under the skin. Recovery is therefore mostly about needle points and the small blebs they leave, and there is no incision to heal. You can read the Rejuran procedure steps in order if your parent wants to know what the appointment involves.

Rejuran how long to recover: what each stage usually looks like
WhenWhat you usually seeWhat it means for the trip
First hoursRedness and small raised bumps at the needle pointsGo back to the hotel by taxi and keep the evening quiet
Days 1 to 2Bumps flatten; mild tendernessLight walking is usually fine; skip sauna and alcohol
Days 3 to 7Most marks gone; any bruise turns yellow or greenFamily photos may need makeup over a bruise
Weeks 2 and laterRecovery over; any skin change builds slowlyYour parent will be home by then, so plan to judge it there

These are typical patterns, and they don't tell you which row your own parent will linger in. The next section does.

Why might your parent's skin take longer?

The usual answers to Rejuran how long to recover are written about younger skin. Three things tend to stretch the timeline for someone in their 50s or 60s:

  • Thinner skin and fragile small vessels. Bruises show more readily and often fade more slowly.
  • Daily medicines and supplements. Aspirin, blood thinners, and some supplements such as fish oil can make bruising more likely.
  • The treated area. Skin under the eyes is thin, so a mark there is easier to see than one on the cheek.

The question I most want answered is what your parent takes every morning. Please bring the full list, and don't let them stop a prescribed blood thinner for a skin treatment unless the doctor who prescribed it agrees. A bruise fades. A stopped heart medicine can do real harm.

How many days should you leave before the flight?

Three clear days is my general planning margin, and five is safer for a parent who bruises easily. Flying is rarely the medical issue with an injection like this. The margin exists so anything unexpected shows up while your parent can still walk back into the clinic.

The calendar matters here. We're closed on Sundays and public holidays, and Saturday hours end at 16:30, so a Saturday treatment leaves no open clinic day after it. Weekends and Friday evenings also fill first. Boosters can usually be done straight after the consultation, so one visit may cover both. For more on chair time and total days, see how long Rejuran takes in Seoul.

Say your mother is 62, takes low-dose aspirin from her cardiologist, lands on a Tuesday evening and flies home on Sunday. I'd aim for Wednesday. That leaves Thursday, Friday and Saturday open for a check if something looks wrong, and a bruise would have started to fade by the flight. If she only reached us on Saturday, I'd talk with you both about treating a smaller area or waiting for another trip.

That is my answer to Rejuran how long to recover on a parent's trip: count the open clinic days after treatment as well as the days on the calendar. The US CDC's medical tourism guidance also advises arranging follow-up care at home before you leave and carrying copies of your records, so ask your parent's local doctor now. You can see the clinic's location and treatments on THE Beautiful Clinic's English homepage.

Send your parent's arrival and departure times and their medicine list on WhatsApp, and ask which day leaves the most room.

What do reviews get right about Rejuran recovery?

Threads on Rejuran how long to recover tend to repeat the same few claims. Here is how they hold up medically.

  1. The bumps are gone by the next day. True for many people, though two days is common and bruises follow a different clock.
  2. My skin glowed right away. Early plumpness is largely fluid and swelling. Any change in skin quality builds over weeks.
  3. It's only a few needle marks, so there's no risk. Not true. A systematic review of polynucleotides in esthetic medicine reported mostly mild, short-lived reactions, but mild doesn't mean none.

Which Rejuran method changes the recovery?

The menu at the clinic includes standard Rejuran, Rejuran i for the eye area, Rejuran HB as a low-pain type, and Rejuran delivered with Dermashine. As a general rule, the number of needle points, the depth and the area shape what your parent sees afterward. Under-eye work may be small in volume yet more visible if it bruises. You can compare these on the Rejuran treatment page.

For a parent, I'd weigh pain tolerance and the flight date before anything else. Which type suits their skin is something the 3D scan and the exam help settle.

What decides the cost of Rejuran for your parent?

The consultation begins with a scan rather than a price list, because these factors change from face to face:

  • The type: standard Rejuran, Rejuran i or Rejuran HB
  • The volume, since Rejuran is priced by the cc
  • The delivery method, such as adding Dermashine
  • How many areas are treated, and whether more sessions are planned
  • Your own hotel nights in Seoul, which grow if you add margin days

Ask on WhatsApp what it would cost for the area your parent cares about, and name any type you've read about. If you have booking questions as well, this post covers consultation booking and fees for Rejuran.

Risks and side effects to know

Common temporary reactions are redness, bumps, tenderness and bruising, usually over days. Individual recovery differs, and every treatment carries possible side effects. For the detail on each, read how long Rejuran bumps last and who should wait.

As general medicine, your parent should wait or skip it with an infection or inflammation at the site, a recent laser or peel in that area, recent isotretinoin, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or an allergy to fish or salmon-derived ingredients. Anyone on a blood thinner needs that conversation before treatment. Whether your parent is a candidate depends on the in-person exam.

If spreading redness, heat, worsening pain, pus, fever or any change in vision appears after flying home, your parent should see a local doctor promptly. A vision change is an emergency. Bring the product name, the treated area and the treatment date to that visit, so note them down before you leave Seoul.

What to send before you book anything

One daylight photo of your parent's face is enough for a first message, and you can ask before booking anything. Add the one question that's bothering you most. The clinic answers messages within 24 business hours.

If Rejuran how long to recover is still your one open question, put it on WhatsApp with that photo. When you both come in, I'll examine your parent, starting with the scan, and recommend what fits their skin and the days they have.

The short version

  1. Injection bumps usually settle in one to two days; a bruise can take a week or more.
  2. Thinner skin, blood thinners and the under-eye area are the usual reasons recovery runs longer.
  3. For a parent over 50, plan about three clear days before the flight, or five if they bruise easily.
  4. Avoid a Saturday treatment on a tight trip, because the clinic is closed on Sundays.
  5. Type, volume, delivery method and treated area decide the cost.

Questions patients ask

Can my parent fly the day after Rejuran?

There's no general medical ban that I'd point to for an injection of this kind, but a flight the next day leaves no room for a check if something looks wrong. I'd leave about three clear days, or five for someone who bruises easily.

When can makeup go back on?

The needle points need time to close, which commonly means waiting until the next day. Ask at the visit, since the answer can differ with the area treated and how the skin looks afterward.

Should my parent avoid sauna and alcohol afterward?

As general advice, yes, for the first couple of days. Heat and alcohol widen blood vessels and can make redness and bruising more noticeable.

Can the consultation and treatment happen on the same day?

Often, yes. Lasers, boosters and injectables can usually be done straight after the consultation, which can matter on a short trip.

My parent doesn't speak much English. Can I come along?

Consultations run in English and Bahasa Indonesia, so if your parent speaks neither, plan to sit in and relay what's said. Tell the clinic that when you message.

Who looks after my parent's skin once they're home?

Arrange that with their local doctor before you leave. Bring the product name, treated area and treatment date, so that doctor knows what was injected.

Results and recovery vary between individuals, and every treatment can have side effects. Prices are from the clinic's price list and are confirmed at consultation. This article is general information, not a diagnosis.
