Is Beautiful Total Lifting really what your face needs, and what if your complaint turns out to be something it can't help?

Read this before you book a flight to Seoul.

By the end you'll know what decides the cost, which review claims hold up, which methods are used, and when to wait. That lets you judge whether this plan is worth it for your face, your schedule and your budget.

Hello, I'm Dr. Jang Dong-hoon, Founder & Medical Director of THE Beautiful Clinic in Seoul.

At this clinic I consult, plan and treat myself, and the consultation begins with a 3D skin scan. You can send questions on WhatsApp in English or Bahasa Indonesia, and the clinic answers within 24 business hours.

I wrote this because the word "Total" is easy to read as a package for every skin complaint, and that choice can have you paying to treat the wrong problem.

THE Beautiful Total Lifting is meant for skin that has started to sag: the jawline and cheeks, skin density, fine lines and texture, without incisions. Melasma, spots and heavy sagging need a different route.

If you aren't sure which complaint is yours, send one photo of your face in daylight on WhatsApp and ask one thing: is this a problem of shape or of color?

What is Beautiful Total, exactly?

THE Beautiful Total Lifting is a lifting plan built from several devices: which one, at which depth, in which order. What gets checked is where elasticity has gone, how dense the skin still is, and how much downtime your schedule can take. The details are on the THE Beautiful Total Lifting page.

The energy is staged across the dermis, the fat layer and the SMAS, the connective tissue layer under facial fat. So when people ask what beautiful total lifting is for, the answer starts from the layers that hold the shape of the face. Skin color has its own program.

What Beautiful Total Lifting suits, and which complaints it misses

The most useful question to me, before choosing anything: is what bothers you in the mirror the shape of your face or the color of your skin? This table separates the two.

What Beautiful Total Lifting suits, and which complaints it misses
ComplaintDirection that usually fits betterNote
Jawline and cheeks starting to dropTHE Beautiful Total LiftingThe main purpose of this plan

Heavy sagging with excess skinSurgical consultationEnergy devices have limits

Melasma sits deeper than a sun spot and reacts badly to the energy that clears one. The two look alike in a mirror, so our pigment program starts from the scan. The American Academy of Dermatology also stresses daily sun protection for melasma. At this clinic the advice is SPF 50 every day, because melasma is managed rather than cured.

If your spots have been stubborn for a long time, look at the Enlighten laser on the treatments list. Acne scars and skin quality complaints have their own treatment categories too, including lasers and exosome.

For heavy sagging, a surgical facelift is often considered. It involves incisions, a longer recovery and risks such as bruising or infection, so it belongs in a conversation with a surgeon.

Methods: the depth decides the device

Each layer answers to different physics, so the depth gets chosen first and the machine second:

  • RF for density in the dermis, for example Thermage FLX.
  • HIFU for the fascia, for example Ultherapy Prime.
  • Microwave when fat needs to come down with the sag, for example ONDA.

Two devices in one visit only make sense when they target different planes. Where they overlap we space them out, and the devices can be sequenced across one or more visits. A session block runs 60 to 120 minutes, and the sensation is listed as mild to moderate.

Results last 3 to 12 months by device, and the plan is reviewed at 3 and 6 months. For how the two best-known devices differ in depth, see Ultherapy vs Thermage in Korea. The address and contact options are on the THE Beautiful Clinic home page.

When should you wait, and what are the risks?

The most common reactions are temporary. The recovery listed for this plan is none to same-day flushing. In general, energy devices can also cause mild swelling, tenderness or bruising for a few days. Rarer but more serious problems are burns or temporary nerve irritation. Responses differ from person to person.

On medium to dark skin there is one more risk. DermNet explains that postinflammatory hyperpigmentation, dark patches after inflammation or skin injury, tends to be more frequent and longer lasting in darker skin.

In general, these situations call for waiting or for a conversation first:

  • Active infection or inflammation in the treatment area
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • A pacemaker, or a metal implant in the treated area
  • A recent laser, a recent peel, or isotretinoin
  • Fillers or threads in the last six months, because the energy has to be planned around them
  • Active melasma that hasn't been examined yet

Say you are 42 and live in Surabaya, your jawline has started to drop, you have symmetrical brown patches on both cheeks, and you have five days of leave. I would separate those two problems. The patches need scanning first, and if they are melasma, a course every 2 to 4 weeks won't fit into one holiday. So the choice for this visit may be a smaller lifting plan, or no treatment at all.

If pain grows, blisters appear, swelling worsens or you see signs of infection after you get home, see a doctor in your city right away. Contact the clinic that treated you as well. The CDC advises medical travelers to arrange follow-up care at home before leaving and to carry copies of their medical records.

Had fillers or threads in your face? Write the area and the month on WhatsApp, add a side photo, and ask whether Total Lifting should be moved away from that area.

Lifting reviews online: which claims are true?

These three claims come up often in reviews and forums about lifting in general:

  • "Tight by the next morning." This is misleading. Collagen builds slowly, and the honest review point is twelve weeks.
  • "No downtime." This is partly true. Many people only get brief flushing, yet sauna, hot yoga and long sun exposure still need avoiding for three days after each energy session.
  • "The more machines, the better." This is wrong. Two devices on the same plane just stack energy for no reason.

What decides the cost?

The consultation here begins with a skin scan, and the price list comes after it. What usually moves the cost in your case:

  1. Which devices go into the plan
  2. Shot count and the size of the area
  3. The number of visits, one or several
  4. Numbing, which follows the devices in the plan
  5. The reviews at 3 and 6 months, if you want to continue

For the figure in your case, ask on WhatsApp what it would cost and include one photo. Payment happens at the clinic.

Your days in Seoul and after you fly home

The clinic is open Monday to Thursday 10:30 to 19:30, Friday to 20:30, and Saturday to 16:30 with no lunch break. The weekday lunch break is 13:00 to 14:00, and Sundays and public holidays are closed. It is a 2-minute walk from Nonhyeon Station Exit 5 (Sinbundang Line). There is no patient parking, so come by subway or taxi.

That three-day rule matters most if you head to a beach right after Seoul. Move any sunbathing past those three days. Before booking, also ask how the 3-month and 6-month reviews work once you're back in Jakarta or Surabaya, and when you should fly home.

So what would beautiful total lifting do for your face? Start from one photo and one question, because you can ask before booking anything. Send the photo on WhatsApp, ask about the part you feel has dropped the most, and we will suggest a list of treatments in English or Bahasa Indonesia. When you come, I examine your skin and recommend the treatment that fits.

The short version

  1. Total Lifting addresses sagging, skin density, fine lines and texture.
  2. Melasma and spots belong to the pigment program, which runs every 2 to 4 weeks.
  3. Tell the clinic about fillers or threads placed in the last six months.
  4. Cost follows the devices, shot count, area and number of visits.
  5. The honest review point is week 12.

Questions patients ask

Can Total Lifting clear spots at the same time?

This plan addresses sagging, density, fine lines and texture. Spots and melasma belong to THE Beautiful Pigmentation Care Program, which starts from a scan and runs every 2 to 4 weeks through the course.

How long do Total Lifting results last?

About 3 to 12 months by device. The plan is reviewed at 3 and 6 months, and the honest review point is week 12.

Does the procedure hurt?

The sensation is listed as mild to moderate. Numbing follows the devices that go into your plan.

I've had filler or threads. Can I still have it?

Tell us if they were placed in the last six months. The energy is planned around those areas, not over them.

What about medium to dark skin?

Darker skin is more prone to dark patches after inflammation. Mention any history of such patches from the start and protect your skin from the sun after treatment.

How many days do I need in Seoul?

A session block runs 60 to 120 minutes, and devices can be sequenced across one or more visits. Send your dates and ask which sequence fits them.

Results and recovery vary between individuals, and every treatment can have side effects. Prices are from the clinic's price list and are confirmed at consultation. This article is general information, not a diagnosis.
