Seoul Potenza group trip with a parent: how many days? Cost, reviews, methods
Several faces on one trip need several plans, and the calendar matters as much as the device. Saturday hours end at 16:30 and Sundays are closed.

Planning a Seoul Potenza group trip with a parent, and not sure how many days to give it?
Read this before anyone books a flight.
You'll know how many days to plan, what decides the cost per person, what reviews get right, which methods suit which face, and what to arrange for home. That lets each of you choose a plan that fits your skin, your budget and the same return flight.
Hello, I'm Dr. Jang Dong-hoon, Founder & Medical Director of THE Beautiful Clinic in Seoul.
I consult, plan and treat, and each consultation begins with a 3D skin scan. Consultations run in English or Bahasa Indonesia, with clinic staff interpreting at no charge, arranged for the appointment time. We're a 2-minute walk from Nonhyeon Station Exit 5, which helps with a parent because there is no patient parking.
I wrote this because groups tend to book one treatment and one date for everyone, and a 33-year-old's acne scars and a 62-year-old's pores rarely want the same plan.
There's no treatment or package called a Seoul Potenza group; the phrase usually means several people having Potenza, an RF microneedling treatment, on one trip. Book the sessions near the start, then keep a few days in Seoul, since microneedling reactions usually fade within a few days to a week.
Send your Seoul dates on WhatsApp with one daylight photo of each person's main concern, and ask whether everyone can be seen on one day.
How many days does a Seoul Potenza group trip need?
The clinic doesn't set a fixed stay for Potenza, so here is how I would reason about it. The American Academy of Dermatology says microneedling downtime is minimal and that reactions usually fade within a few days to a week. The practical question is where you want to be during those days.
I would want you still in Seoul for a few of them. The US CDC's advice to delay flying for 10 to 14 days applies to major surgery, which Potenza isn't. The reason to stay is simpler: if something looks wrong, you can still walk back in.
The calendar shapes the rest. Say three of you land on a Thursday night and fly home the following Wednesday:
| Day | Clinic hours | How I would use it |
|---|---|---|
| Friday | 10:30 to 20:30, lunch 13:00 to 14:00 | Scans, consultations and any same-day sessions, as early as you can |
| Saturday | 10:30 to 16:30, no lunch break | Spare slot for whoever couldn't fit in on Friday |
| Sunday | Closed | Rest, with sunscreen and a hat if you go out |
| Monday | 10:30 to 19:30, lunch 13:00 to 14:00 | Your window to come back with a question |
| Tuesday | 10:30 to 19:30, lunch 13:00 to 14:00 | Last open day before the flight |
Public holidays are closed too, so check Korea's calendar against your dates. Treatment on the same day as the consultation is often possible at this clinic, but confirm that for Potenza when you book.
One doctor, several faces
A Seoul Potenza group has a scheduling issue that a solo traveler doesn't. I'm the one physician the clinic lists, and I consult, plan and treat. So don't assume four people run at once. Ask how the appointments line up, and whether your parent can go first if waiting is tiring.
A few days' notice is usually enough, but weekends and Friday evenings fill first. Message as soon as your dates are set. You can also start a booking from our English home page.
Risks and side effects to know
The same treatment is not repeated on everybody, and that holds when you're related. Family resemblance tells me little about how deep a scar sits or how a pore behaves, which is why each person has a separate scan.

Which methods suit each person in the group?
Potenza, listed on our Potenza and Intracel treatment page, combines micro-needles and radiofrequency for regeneration, firmness, pores and scarring. For the device details, see our guide to Potenza RF microneedling. It may still be the wrong pick for someone in your group.
- Fraxel leaves three to seven days of redness and flaking, so it needs a trip built around it.
- Agnes works at the level of the gland and leaves small scabs for two to four days.
- Sylfirm and Therfect are also on the acne and pore menu, and I would choose between them after the scan.
Some people want to add a booster to the same visit. Before anyone does, read whether Potenza with exosome is worth having together. Someone who would rather skip energy devices may prefer a single booster day in Seoul.
Say your mother has enlarged pores and takes a blood thinner, your sister has rolling acne scars, and you came back from a beach holiday last week. That's three different conversations. Your sister might suit the group plan, your mother needs a medicine discussion first, and you may need to wait out the tan.
What should a parent check before Potenza?
Common reactions are redness, or darker shades on darker skin tones, plus swelling and tenderness, which usually fade within a few days to a week. Pigment marks can follow inflammation, particularly in darker skin, and they can take far longer to clear than the redness. The AAD also notes that RF microneedling studies included few people with darker skin tones. Tell us your Fitzpatrick type when you message.
General dermatology advice is to wait or skip this kind of treatment in these situations:
- Slow or poor healing, which can come with poorly controlled diabetes
- A raised keloid scar now or in the past
- A tan or recent sun exposure
- Infection or inflamed skin in the area
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Isotretinoin, recent fillers or medicines that affect healing, which you should mention in advance
If a reaction appears after you land, photograph it in daylight and see a local doctor for spreading redness, pus, fever or worsening pain. Before the trip, send your parent's medicine list and return flight date on WhatsApp, and ask which of those medicines to raise before treatment.
Follow-up from home takes one call before you leave
The CDC advises travelers to confirm before leaving that they can get follow-up care at home, since complications may need treatment there and insurance may not cover it. It also advises collecting copies of medical records before returning, and notes they may need translation.
For your group, that means one named doctor at home for each person, especially your parent. Ask for each person's device, session date and treated areas in writing before you fly. Message the clinic with questions too, keeping in mind the clinic answers within 24 business hours, so anything urgent goes to a local doctor first.
What do reviews get right about a Seoul Potenza group trip?
"I went back to work the next day." Broadly fair. The AAD says you can return to work or school right after microneedling, though redness may still be visible.
"One session fixed my scars." Be careful with this one. For microneedling and acne scars, the AAD says you may need 3 to 5 treatments, performed every 2 to 4 weeks. One trip can begin that course, and a reader living abroad should think about where the others would happen.
"We all had the same thing and it worked for everyone." A shared itinerary doesn't mean shared skin. Treat that review as a travel tip and leave the medicine out of it.
What decides the cost for each person?
A Seoul Potenza group doesn't have one figure, because the cost follows each face:
- Device, since Potenza and Intracel are listed separately
- The session plus the tip, which appear as separate items on the list
- Number of areas treated
- Any add-on, such as the Juvelook combination people often ask about
- Extra days in Seoul and follow-up visits at home
Ask on WhatsApp for a range for each person, with a photo of their main concern. The figure is then confirmed at consultation, after the scan.
What to send for your Seoul Potenza group
Send your dates, how many people are coming and one daylight photo per person on WhatsApp, with one question: can everyone be seen on the first open day? You can ask before booking anything. When you come, I scan and examine each of you and recommend what fits each face, which may mean different treatments for people sharing a hotel room. When the dates are set, you can pick Potenza for each person on the booking page.
The short version
- Book Potenza near the start of the trip and keep a few days in Seoul afterward.
- The clinic is closed on Sundays and public holidays, so check where those days fall.
- Each person needs their own scan and plan, and some may suit a different treatment.
- A parent's medicines, healing and scar history need checking before the trip.
- Sort out follow-up at home and collect records before anyone flies back.
Questions patients ask
Can friends or family be in the room together during consultation?
Ask when you book. Many people want a relative present, especially with an older parent, but each person's skin history and medicines are private, so decide in advance what each of you is comfortable sharing.
Can we sightsee right after Potenza?
Usually you can go out, but skin may look red and feel tender for a while. Use sunscreen and a hat, and skip saunas and long hours in the sun while your skin settles.
How do we get to the clinic with an older parent?
Take the subway to Nonhyeon Station on the Sinbundang Line and use Exit 5, which is a 2-minute walk, or take a taxi. The clinic has no patient parking.
Should we book our flights before we confirm appointments?
Message the clinic as soon as your dates are set, especially if you want a Friday evening or weekend, since those fill first. If you can, keep your return flight after a day the clinic is open.
What should each person do on the day of the appointment?
Come with clean skin and no makeup if possible. Mention recent fillers, isotretinoin and any medicine that affects healing, and bring the medicine list if you have one.
Does everyone in the group need to have Potenza?
No. The clinic's acne and pore menu includes other options, and one person may need nothing this trip. The in-person exam decides who is suitable and which treatment fits.
Results and recovery vary between individuals, and every treatment can have side effects. Prices are from the clinic's price list and are confirmed at consultation. This article is general information, not a diagnosis.
