Have you seen Rejuran South Korea all over TikTok, but can't tell whether this salmon DNA injection suits your skin or is simply having a moment?

Read to the end before you book a ticket to Seoul.

By then you'll know what decides the cost, which review claims are true, what methods exist and who it suits. From there you can judge whether Rejuran makes sense for your skin, your leave and your budget.

Hello, I'm Dr. Jang Dong-hoon, Founder & Medical Director of THE Beautiful Clinic in Seoul.

At our clinic I consult, plan and treat myself. The consultation starts with a 3D scan of your skin, with the price list after that, and it is available in Bahasa Indonesia or English.

I wrote this because many people think of Rejuran as a Korean version of filler, then feel let down when their cheeks don't look any fuller.

Rejuran is a polynucleotide (PN) injection made from salmon DNA that works on skin quality, such as texture, fine lines and dull skin. If you want to add volume or lift a sagging face, another option usually makes more sense.

Not sure which group you fall into? Send one daylight photo of your face on WhatsApp with one question: is this about skin quality or about volume? The clinic answers messages within 24 business hours.

What is Rejuran and how does it work?

When people type Rejuran South Korea, they usually want one thing: the Korean PN injection, done right there in Seoul. It contains purified fragments of salmon DNA. The material goes into the skin at a shallow depth, in many small points, so it feels more like a series of short pricks than one large injection.

A review in the journal Pharmaceutics explains that polynucleotides are studied for their role in supporting tissue repair and the work of fibroblasts, the cells that make collagen. A change like that comes from your own skin doing the work, so it takes weeks. A systematic review in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology also reports improvements in skin quality, but the studies still vary in type and size, so I won't promise you any figure.

In our skin booster category, PN is just one option alongside PLA, PLLA, PDO, CaHA, exosomes and type-1 collagen. Each works on a different timeline, which is why I think choosing the type matters more than choosing the brand. There's an overview of this treatment on the Rejuran treatment page.

These four beliefs most often set people up with the wrong expectations:

What is Rejuran and how does it work?
BeliefWhat happens in the skin
Rejuran fills out the cheeks like fillerPN isn't designed to add volume, and its work is on skin quality
Rejuran cream is the same as the injectionLarge molecules struggle to get through the outer skin layer, so cream and injection can't be treated as equals
You'll see the result tomorrow morningThe small bumps the next day are injection marks, and the skin change comes later
A Korean product will suit everyoneWhere a product comes from doesn't change the condition of your own skin

Who does Rejuran South Korea suit, and when do I suggest something else?

The question I find most useful is this one: when you look in the mirror in the morning, is it the surface of your skin that bothers you, or the shape of your face? If it's the surface, Rejuran is worth talking about. It usually comes into consideration for:

  • Skin that is dull, dry or feels thin.
  • Fine lines on the cheeks or around the eyes.
  • Uneven texture and shallow acne scars, often alongside another treatment.
  • People who want better skin without changing the shape of their face.

If your main complaint is a dropped jawline, sagging cheeks or hollow areas, I'd talk through other options first. If your acne is still active, it's better to deal with that first, and if it appears on your back or chest, read about body acne treatment in Korea. If you're torn between building collagen and improving skin quality, the Juvelook and Rejuran comparison can help.

Methods: which types of Rejuran can you choose?

Our list records four options, and the differences are worth knowing before you ask:

  • Rejuran: available in 1cc and 2cc.
  • Rejuran i: for the eye area, also in 1cc and 2cc.
  • Rejuran HB: a low-pain type, available in 1cc.
  • Rejuran with [Dermashine](treatment:doubletite): delivered through a device, with its own tip fee.

Say you're 29, you work in Surabaya, you have four days of leave, dull skin, fine lines under your eyes and a fear of needles. I'd weigh three things: whether those lines really are a skin quality matter, which area bothers you most, and how strong that fear is. From there, Rejuran i and Rejuran HB become a reasonable discussion. On leave that short, I'd also rather choose a small plan you have time to recover from than a pile of stacked treatments.

Before you write your message, note two things: your last skin treatment with its date, and any medicine you're taking. Send both on WhatsApp along with your question about the area that bothers you most.

What do Rejuran reviews say, and which parts are true?

Public reviews on TikTok and forums tend to repeat the same few claims. Some are true, and some need correcting.

“The injections hurt” is partly true. There are many injection points, and certain areas really are more sensitive. A low-pain type is available, but the sensation doesn't vanish altogether.

“Your face gets bumpy” is true. Small bumps at the injection points are a common reaction and usually settle within a few days. If that's your main concern, read about small bumps after Rejuran and your flight schedule.

“You'll glow by tomorrow” isn't something to rely on. Skin can look different for a moment because of mild swelling, while the change people are after takes weeks. “Once is enough” is also something reviews can't answer, because the number of sessions follows the condition of each person's skin.

What decides the cost of Rejuran in Seoul?

We confirm the final figure at the consultation, because the following things differ from person to person:

  1. The type chosen: Rejuran, Rejuran i or Rejuran HB.
  2. The number of cc needed.
  3. The size of the area, for example the whole face or only around the eyes.
  4. Added devices, such as Dermashine, which uses its own tip.
  5. The number of sessions, and whether other treatments happen in the same visit.

For planning purposes, you're welcome to ask for the range first. Ask on WhatsApp what it would cost for your case, with one photo of the area you'd like treated.

Your days in Seoul and the flight home

A Rejuran South Korea plan for a short leave is best built from the clinic's hours. Monday to Thursday we open from 10:30 to 19:30, Friday until 20:30, and Saturday until 16:30 with no lunch break. On weekdays there's a lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00. We're closed on Sundays and public holidays, so if you land on Saturday afternoon, your earliest visit is Monday morning.

Weekends and Friday evenings fill up fastest, so let us know as soon as your dates are fixed. The address and how to make an appointment are on the THE Beautiful Clinic home page. The clinic is a 2-minute walk from Nonhyeon Station Exit 5. There's no patient parking, so come by subway or taxi.

Boosters can generally be done right after the consultation, so one visit is often enough to get started. Come without makeup if you can. If you don't want bumps showing on the way home, put the treatment at the start of your trip, then check the guide to flying after skin treatment in Korea. Contact us on WhatsApp before you come, and we'll schedule a companion who can explain your treatment plan in your language.

Risks and side effects to know

After Rejuran South Korea treatment, the common temporary reactions are redness, mild swelling, small bumps, soreness at the injection points and bruising. These usually ease within a few days, though a bruise can last longer. On tan or brown skin, inflammation can leave temporary dark marks, so mention your Fitzpatrick type and use sunscreen once you're back in a tropical climate.

In general, it's better to wait, or to discuss it with a doctor first, if:

  • You have an infection or inflammation in the area to be injected.
  • You've recently had a laser, a peel or filler.
  • You're taking isotretinoin or a medicine that affects healing.
  • You're pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You're allergic to fish or to salmon-derived ingredients.

If you get home and notice worsening pain, fever, pus or skin turning pale, see the nearest doctor right away. The CDC suggests that people treated abroad carry copies of their medical records, so keep a note of the product type, the area and the treatment date. Results and recovery differ from person to person.

If your leave dates are set, send them with one photo on WhatsApp, and ask which type of Rejuran is worth discussing for your area. One photo is enough, and you can ask before booking anything. When you come, I'll examine your skin and recommend the treatment that fits what I find.

The short version

  1. Rejuran is an injectable PN made from salmon DNA, aimed at skin quality.
  2. It makes the most sense for dull skin, fine lines and uneven texture.
  3. Small bumps after the injections are a common reaction and usually settle within a few days.
  4. Cost is decided by the type, the number of cc, the area, added devices and sessions.
  5. Fish allergy, infection at the site and pregnancy need discussing before treatment.

Questions patients ask

Is Rejuran the same as filler?

No. Filler adds volume to a particular area, while Rejuran contains polynucleotides aimed at skin quality. They answer different complaints.

When will I start to notice a change in my skin?

Change comes gradually over weeks, because it relies on your own skin doing the work. The bumps you see in the first days are injection marks.

Can I be treated on the day of my consultation?

Often yes, because boosters can generally be done right after the consultation. Let us know your dates first so the schedule can be arranged.

Do I need to speak Korean?

No. Consultations are available in Bahasa Indonesia and English. Contact us on WhatsApp before you come so a companion can be scheduled.

I'm allergic to fish. Can I have Rejuran?

Rejuran comes from salmon DNA, so this allergy must be mentioned before treatment. People with this allergy are usually directed to another option.

What should I mention before I come?

Tell us if you've recently had filler, take isotretinoin or use a medicine that affects healing. Come with a clean face and no makeup if you can.

Results and recovery vary between individuals, and every treatment can have side effects. Prices are from the clinic's price list and are confirmed at consultation. This article is general information, not a diagnosis.
