I'm writing this because many people judge Rejuran in the mirror on day three, when most of what they see is the injection itself.
The bumps usually settle within days. Change in skin quality usually takes weeks, with the first subtle shift often around week 4 and a fuller read about three months after a course, so expect to see it at home.

Rejuran how long to see results: the timeline by week
In short, these are general expectations, counted from the first injections. Healing speed, skin condition and the amount injected all move the dates.

The research supports the slow part of that table, with limits. A systematic review in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology covered nine polynucleotide studies and 219 patients. Most gave 3 or 4 sessions, and assessments ran from 2 to 28 weeks. The authors rated the study quality low to moderate and called for stronger trials, so treat any exact week as an estimate.
A separate real-life study of 66 adults gave three sessions, 2 or 3 weeks apart, and assessed the skin 3 months after the final injection. It had no control group, and the product maker covered the publication costs. These papers looked at polynucleotide products as a class, so they don't give a Rejuran-only timetable. Once you've seen a change, the next question is how long Rejuran lasts and what that means for your Seoul days.
Why does the change take weeks?
A gel filler adds volume the moment it goes in. A booster asks your skin to make its own collagen, and that is slow work. Published polynucleotide research describes these molecules as supporting fibroblast activity and tissue repair, and new tissue doesn't arrive by the weekend.
That also tells you what to watch for, and what you can stop waiting for:
- Usually within reach: rough texture, dullness, fine crepey lines.
- Usually out of reach: sagging along the jaw, lost volume, deeper pigment spots.
If your worry sits in the second group, a longer wait won't change the answer. A different treatment or a different depth is the conversation to have, and the scan helps with exactly that, since it reads pigment, vessels and elasticity below the surface.
How many days should you keep in Seoul?
Your trip only has to cover the first reactions. The result itself comes later, so you don't need to stay for it. Reactions in the polynucleotide studies were mild and mostly temporary, typically resolving within a week, and that gives you three planning questions.
First, how visible can you be? If small bumps at dinner don't bother you, a short stay can work. If you have photos or meetings soon after landing, keep closer to a week between session and event.
Second, which clinic day fits? Boosters can often be done straight after the consultation. We open Monday to Thursday 10:30 to 19:30, Friday until 20:30 and Saturday until 16:30, and we close on Sundays and public holidays. Third, what happens after this trip? Studies commonly spaced sessions weeks apart, so one short stay can't hold a whole course. You'd be choosing between one session now, a return visit, or asking at home who could continue.
Say you land on Thursday night, fly out on Monday, and have a wedding six weeks later. I'd lean toward Friday over Saturday, because the extra day gives bumps more time before your flight. At the wedding, you'd be near the early end of the timeline, so I'd expect a modest change at most. If that wedding were the only reason for coming, I'd want you to know that before you book. If you'd like to compare for yourself, take a daylight selfie by the same window on the morning of your session and again at week 12, since memory is poor at judging slow change.

What decides the cost of Rejuran for your case?
The figure moves with a few things you can ask about directly:
- Volume: Rejuran is listed by the cc, so the amount injected matters.
- Area: full cheeks and a small under-eye zone don't need the same plan.
- Product type: Rejuran, Rejuran i and Rejuran HB are separate lines on our list.
- Delivery: Rejuran with Dermashine carries a tip fee of its own.
- Number of sessions: one session and a course are different totals, and a return flight may be part of your own sum.

What do reviews get right about timing?
Three claims turn up again and again in public review threads, and they deserve different answers.
"My skin glowed the next morning." The feeling can be real, but swelling and fluid plump skin for a short time. That fades, and it says little about the collagen change that comes later.
"One session did nothing." This may be a verdict given too early, or after less treatment than the studies used. It can also mean the concern was never one a booster treats, such as sagging.
"The bumps were gone in a day." Some people clear quickly, and others take longer. Thin under-eye skin and a bruise can both stretch that, so plan your trip around the slower case.
Which Rejuran method changes what you see first?
The method mainly changes the first days and the comfort of the session. I don't know of good evidence that one version brings the skin change forward by a set number of weeks. Our Rejuran treatment page sets out what we use, and in short:

- Rejuran i: the version listed for the eye area, where skin is thin and bruises may show.
- Rejuran HB: listed as the low-pain type, which is worth asking about if needles are your main worry.

Risks and side effects to know
Common temporary reactions include swelling, redness, itching, pain and bruising at the injection sites. In the review above, they typically resolved within a week, and no severe adverse events were reported, though those were small studies. How your own skin responds will vary, and results aren't the same for everyone.
As general medicine, you should wait or skip it if any of these applies:
- infection or active inflammation at the site
- a recent laser or peel in the same area
- current or recent isotretinoin
- pregnancy or breastfeeding
- allergy to salmon or fish-derived ingredients, since Rejuran's polynucleotide comes from salmon
