Worried that rejuran healer side effects will still show on your face when it's time to fly home from Seoul?
Before you book the return flight, read this to the end.
By the end you'll know what decides the cost, which review claims hold up, which methods change recovery, and how many days to leave, so you can choose a plan that fits your leave and your budget.
Hello, I'm Dr. Jang Dong-hoon, Founder & Medical Director of THE Beautiful Clinic in Seoul.
At our clinic, I consult, plan and treat myself. The consultation begins with a 3D skin scan and the price list comes after it, and WhatsApp messages are answered within 24 business hours, in English or Bahasa Indonesia.
I'm writing this because many people count their flight home from the bumps alone, while a bruise often lasts longer and can upset plans once they're back.
The common rejuran healer side effects are small bumps at the injection points, redness and bruising. Bumps usually settle within one to two days, while a bruise can last about a week or longer.
If your return date is already fixed, send it on WhatsApp with one question: which area you're most worried will still show when you get home.
Why does the skin turn bumpy after the injection?
Rejuran contains polynucleotide (PN), a material taken from salmon DNA. It's injected shallowly at many small points. Each point lifts the skin for a while, like a tiny wheal, and the body needs time to absorb it.
So a bump on day one is closer to a trace of fluid under the skin than a sign of failure. A bruise has a different cause: the needle touches a small blood vessel, and the color fades on your body's own schedule. Questions about the material itself, including fish allergy, are covered in my article on salmon DNA.
A systematic review of polynucleotides in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology and real-life data in the same journal describe reactions that are generally mild and temporary. Mild for the skin isn't always mild for your schedule, which is why I'd like you to count it by the day.
Rejuran healer side effects day by day: when do they settle?
This table shows the general pattern for many people, not a fixed schedule for your face.
| Time | What's common | What it means for your plans |
|---|---|---|
| Injection day | Small bumps, redness, stinging or tenderness | Keep the rest of the day free of photo plans |
| Days 1 to 2 | Bumps start to flatten, redness shrinks | Sightseeing is usually fine, avoid saunas and hard exercise |
| Days 2 to 4 | A bruise, if any, looks more obvious | A useful time to stay near the clinic |
| Days 5 to 7 | Bruises fade, often covered by makeup | Most people are back to normal activity |
| After 2 weeks | Bumps should no longer be felt | A lasting bump is worth asking a doctor about |
From that table, the number I use for a short trip is two to three days between the injection and the flight home. It gives you room to see whether a bruise or another reaction appears while you're still in Seoul. This is a calculation about comfort and access to the clinic, and no fixed number applies to everyone.

How many days should you leave in Seoul?
Say you have five days of leave, land on Thursday night and fly home on Monday night. On Friday the clinic is open from 10:30 to 20:30, with a lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00. An injection on Friday gives you three full days before you fly.
The clinic is closed on Sundays and public holidays, and on Saturdays it's open until 16:30. If a question comes up on Sunday, you still have Monday morning before an evening flight, because the clinic opens again at 10:30. Now turn the example around: a Sunday injection isn't possible, and a Monday injection means flying with bumps that still show.
Boosters can generally be done right after the consultation, so one visit is often enough to begin. Friday evenings and weekends fill fastest, so contact the clinic as soon as your dates are firm. The address and full services are on the THE Beautiful Clinic Seoul page. The clinic has no patient parking, so come by subway to Nonhyeon Station Exit 5, or by taxi.
Before you buy the ticket, send one makeup-free photo of your face in daylight, plus a list of any injections or laser in the last six months. Then ask one thing: which area you should skip if you only have three days.
Which methods change recovery?
Our price list includes several types, and the choice does affect the days afterward:
- Rejuran: the standard injection for facial areas, with bumps as in the table.
- Rejuran i: made for the eye area. The skin there is thin, so bruises generally show more easily.
- Rejuran HB: the lower-pain type, worth asking about if you fear needles.
- Rejuran with [Dermashine](treatment:doubletite): delivery by device, in a different pattern from hand injection.
The number of areas matters as much as the type. More injection points mean more places that can bruise. If you only have two days after the injection, I'd consider fewer areas first. The steps of the procedure are on the booking page along with the other treatments you can ask about.
If you want to add lifting on the same trip, look at the side effects of that treatment too, so both schedules can be counted together.
Rejuran reviews: which claims are true?
Reviews on social media often repeat the same few claims. Medically, here's how I read them:
- Bumps disappear within a day or two: often true for bumps, but it doesn't apply to bruises.
- The more it hurts, the better the result: not true. Pain relates to the area and your sensitivity, and has nothing to do with how the material works.
- Your skin glows the next morning: not quite. Boosters ask the skin to build its own collagen, and that takes longer than the rest of your leave.
- Rejuran healer side effects aren't worth thinking about: not true. Reactions are generally mild, but rare ones still exist, and the next section covers them.
What decides the cost of Rejuran healer?
I don't list figures here, because the cost depends on these things:
- The type of Rejuran used
- The number of cc your skin needs
- The areas treated, for example the face alone or with the eye area
- Any added device such as Dermashine
- The number of sessions and whether they fit in your leave
The price is confirmed at the consultation, but you can ask for the range first. Ask on WhatsApp what it would cost for your case, naming the area and the type you're considering.
Risks and who should wait
The common temporary reactions are in the table: bumps, redness, tenderness and bruising. Less common are lasting bumps, infection and allergic reactions. Everyone heals at a different speed.
In general, wait or talk to a doctor first if you:
- Have an infection or inflammation in the area to be injected
- Recently had laser or a peel
- Are taking isotretinoin or a drug that affects healing
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Are allergic to salmon or an ingredient of this product
Tell us too if you recently had filler. On tan or brown skin, inflammation can leave temporary dark patches, so sunscreen after returning to a tropical climate is a useful habit.
What if a reaction appears after you land in Jakarta or Surabaya? Worsening pain, a hot area with pus, or fever should be checked by a local doctor promptly. Skin turning pale or bluish and trouble breathing are emergencies. The U.S. CDC advises medical travelers to keep copies of their care records, so carry the product name, date and injection areas so a doctor at home can read them easily.
A small step before you book the flight
Rejuran healer side effects are easier to plan for while the ticket is still unbought. One photo is enough to begin, and you can ask before booking anything. Send that photo on WhatsApp, write which Rejuran type you're considering, then ask one thing: what the range would be for a plan that fits your dates. When you come, I'll scan your skin, examine it, and recommend the treatment that fits.
The short version
- Bumps at the injection points usually settle within one to two days.
- A bruise can last about a week or longer, so count your flight home from the bruise.
- The under-eye area bruises more easily, and the number of areas also changes recovery.
- Cost depends on the Rejuran type, the number of cc, the areas and any added device.
- Signs of infection, worsening pain or trouble breathing need a doctor promptly.
Questions patients ask
Can I fly the day after a Rejuran injection?
Ordinary bumps and redness are generally not a medical reason to cancel a flight. The drawback is that you haven't had time to see whether a bruise or another reaction appears while you're near the clinic. If you have fever or worsening pain, get checked first.
When can I wear makeup again?
Makeup generally waits until the injection points have closed, often about one day. Ask again at your treatment, since your areas and skin condition also matter.
Can I be injected on the day of my consultation?
Often, yes. Boosters can generally be done right after the consultation, so a short visit is still possible if your skin is suitable.
I'm allergic to fish. Can I still have Rejuran?
Rejuran comes from salmon DNA, so a fish allergy must be mentioned before the procedure. Don't start injections until a doctor has assessed your allergy history.
Do I need to speak Korean?
No. Consultations are available in English and Indonesian. Contact the clinic on WhatsApp before you come, and the clinic will schedule a companion who can explain the treatment plan in your language.
Can a bruise be hidden for photos?
A fading bruise can often be covered with makeup once the injection points have closed. For an event with important photos, it's easier to leave about two weeks between the injection and the event.
Results and recovery vary between individuals, and every treatment can have side effects. Prices are from the clinic's price list and are confirmed at consultation. This article is general information, not a diagnosis.
